While I agree with your analysis of the styling differences in Tegan's songs versus Sara's, I think viewed purely as art or invention, Sara's songs are usually superior. The depth, complexity, and intricacies (as you mentioned) in Sara's songs make them increasingly revealing and rewarding with every listen, while I believe many Tegan songs often sound simpler and contain less depth (with a few exceptions). But I am not trying to discredit Tegan; she has also written several masterpieces.

I love them both and they are both very talented. Amazing song writers/singers. I've been a fan for years. I however tend to like Saras song a little better. NOT saying Tegan isnt just as talented but they do have different writing styles and way with words so its all about the type of music you're into & what your taste is honestly. Tegan and Sara have both said they consider all their songs 'Tegan & Sara' songs. They share everything 50/50. Anyway, amazing song
