It's too bad you didn't get to see them when they were out your way. They played in Asbury Parkl, NJ a few years ago before I knew about them and I'm hoping they come back to this area soon. If they play in New York I'll definitely go see them there. I'm glad y ou are a big fan too. That's great!

Tegan and Sara said on The Con DVD that before that album, the vocals for each song had only been recorded by one of them, they never sang in the same song on the studio albums. Live, obviously, they did sing the different parts in each other's songs. So if I'm right in thinking Tegan wrote this song then she sang it all; if the parts sound different it will just be because they were recorded at different times.

Wow, that part really stood out to me, especially since I can't swim to even save myself and I actually was about to drown once, not metaphorically. You'd think that I would actually learn how to swim, so I could save myself the next time if it happens again, but instead, I just stay away from deep water.

I too am a very weak swimmer.. It's funny because I was born at home so I'm supposed to be a 'water baby', yet I've always had a tremendous fear of deep water. Maybe it's not good for one's first conscious moments to be of drowning in a bathtub... Or maybe we both drowned in previous lives and the fear of water somehow carried over to this one :o In any case, I'm content being a land mammal for now :)

Haven't you seen The Con DVD? They only sing together when they are live. On albums, it's just whichever one wrote the song that sings.

In relation to who sings what part in which song. In all albums before The Con the writer of the song sang both main and back up separately and the tracks get put together in studio. The other sister only sang backup during live performances. Once again, this is pre-Con.
