She died far too young, I know she was 81, but she wasn't frail, she wasn't weak. Joan was on a career high and had her finger on the pulse of what was trendy and in the zeitgeist. She could've been like Betty White, still killing it for years to come. She died due to medical negligence while riding the wave of another comeback. It still breaks my heart.

Although her death was...(obviously)... a sad and painful thing...in a way...its modus operandi kindda summed her up. ie: Not 4 her the gradual fade-to-grey. Miss You, Joan.

I almost love her conversations as much as the comedy. She goes deep and doesn't censor herself to save face.

Joan Rivers introduced me to what to expect at the gynocologist like no one else. No one else talked about it. When the nurse said to me to slide down I fought hard not to laugh. Then I was laying on the table with my legs in the styrups telling her jokes to my female gyn and we all laughed.

It's so sad that I never knew how much so liked England and how much they loved her until watching these videos on KZbin. I'm so grateful they are here.

Joan I don't know why but I have been missing you so much, lately! Of course I never stopped. You're always in my thoughts and dreams and I cry because someone with beauty from the outside in, a beautiful light is gone. I know you're still with us and in a happy place....people are still lining up to see your show but I am selfish!

My husband was never a fan of standup comics, but Joan Rivers made him laugh out loud every time he saw her in the "Celebrities Interpret Customer Comments About G**co" commercials. The customer whose comment she was "interpreting" couldn't even keep a straight face as he was supposed to (one of the strict rules for the commercials), when Joan asked: "Am I smiling? I can't feel my face..." after her plastic surgery. She knew her job. God bless her. She is missed.

i want to be like her at that age i mean i never saw someone over 70 and have so much love for life like he's 22 , to have that soul and life uh its just great and i never saw a video of her without making me happy
@lipglosskitten267 жыл бұрын
soltan alosmi You said it! She always has been wonderful. I was very little when she was doing her last years on Carson (fuck I'm getting old) I'd watch Johnny with my grandparents and they loved her and whenever they laughed I laughed.... such happy and fun grandparents! They loved movies and were so excited to gave their own VCR... They saved to get one, before that back in the day you could go to a video rental place and rent a VCR and it really was exciting! Anyway the day they bought the VCR they bought me MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN!!!! Oh My God...... the moment I seen Joan and Miss Piggy in pink selling perfume was the day I decided to forever love Joan!! I've been very blessed and I actually got to know her a bit, My Husband is a special FX MUA and worked with a great artist Raymond on the Smurf movie, they were friendly and when Ray started working with Joan, my man pulled some strings and I got to actually meet her. If she spotted us she'd stop for a quick hello! I was beyond devastated when I heard the terrible news. I know she never gave us any real thought but was so kind. I of course loved every second of those times. I really hope you'll read this, I'm having a hard time in my life, so these shows make me forget I'm sick.... but it feels good to talk, thanks.

It's not Hollywood, Joan doesn't know the age of Melissa she's lied about her age so much during her acts that she forgets how old she is and Melissa doesn't tell her, it's actually quite amusing.

Joan Rivers did well, to trudge through that boring interview, where the interviewer had no charm, humour, or good looks! The set was nerdy-black, which didn't work, and it set-off the interviewer's "personality"(?) to a tee!

She's smart...but she does plan every little thing out...which leads one to believe that she is not as off the cuff and witty as one would think.
@johnwahl97264 жыл бұрын
I think that's what makes her smart. To be able to plan every subtle aspect of a comedy routine means she's very skilled and talented. The Fashion Police was successful for that reason. Joan never called anything in....I think it drove the writer's a bit crazy, but it's her name and face

I hate this video format where the camera is so far away you don't get to see a close up of the guests face.
