I spent over 2h pruning an old jade plant I got for free. Now I still have hundreds of leaves and stems to give away even after having given away several hundred 😅
@melfuz6 сағат бұрын
This is bang on! I was SO scared to prune anything and my plants, especially my Jade, looked like garbage and I had no idea why. Now I do! And now, consequently, I prune often, and cant be stopped! Mwahhahaha.. *cough* *cough* My plants have never looked better. 🪴 This is all because of your channel and the mantra "they always grow back" Thank you! 😊

I don't know why, but my jade plant seems a lot more temperamentful. I'm trying to inspire branching on one side because it's more bushy on one side than the other, but I get only one stem each time. Ironically, when I cut back a stem on the other side, I do get two.
@wojtekimbier13 сағат бұрын
Could it be because the other side gets more light?
@rvantong12 сағат бұрын
@wojtekimbier That probably was the case before. I got the plant from my mom. I moved the side with less growth toward the light though

Thank you for this tutorial! I have a lovely prayer plant that tends to grow laterally. Can I prune it so that it grows more upright or is it naturally a spreader? Thx
@SheffieldMadePlants5 сағат бұрын
It’s more of a bushy spreader

What about pruning a leggy Dracaena? The stem is quite long and all the leaves are at the top. Can I plant it deeper, or do I need to cut the top off and start over?

So why donlots of plant "experts" say never cut more than 1/3 off a plant or it will go into shock and die?

Hello I have a ficus benjamina which is causing me a lot of problems. it is tall and gangly with few leaves at the top; there are lots of branches, dead or not, that i hesitate to cut off and i don't know where to cut. if you have already made a video on this plant, please send me the link. it's in a cool bathroom and gets plenty of light.

My rubber plant seems to only grow small leaves . Why
@chocdabar42048 сағат бұрын
Give it more light. Mines was growing larger leaves in summer. Now that autumn is here the leaves have gotten much smaller .
@SheffieldMadePlants5 сағат бұрын
Probably more light is needed

Mr Sheffield Ι need you help! my jade plant (5 years old) started having many yellow bottom leaves last summer. I thought it was the extended heatwave but no. It produces new leaves and yellow bottom leaves are always here. Im not overwatering. what can it be?
@MsBoudicea9 сағат бұрын
I am having the same issue. Hope you get a reply.
@SheffieldMadePlants5 сағат бұрын
Hard to say but check the soil and roots, see if pests are present and then make sure you’re watering it correctly
@natasa3785 сағат бұрын
@@SheffieldMadePlants checked the roots, changed the soil, they seemed healthy but shorter than the last time 🫤 could it be lack of fertiliser? I haven't fed it for a long time
