A typical Prince song, you hear him in the back vocals. It's lip sinc but who cares? I was twenty at '85😭! And now i am a old lady👩🦳🦯😭

How can you tell if it's lip syncing
@ub602510 ай бұрын
Do you think it is live? Perfect lip sinc is not easy! You will present a perfect act to buy your song.
@shepherdsvoice32458 ай бұрын
It's lip sync. The biggest clue is that they fade the music out and bring the applause in to drown out the music fade - in a live performance, music doesn't fade out, it has an ending. But very obvious also is the fact that they are lip syncing over Prince's vocals. He has a very distinctive voice/sound.

Prince vocals weren't ADDED! While Prince was heavily involved in the whole album, this is is the only track to be credited as "produced, written and arranged by Sheila E. and Prince", ergo being the only track he received credits for - but in fact, while Sheila E. sings on the track and plays percussion (recorded in Cincinnati, Ohio on 20 January 1985), all other instruments (other than saxophone by Eddie M.) are played by Prince.

Saw them in NYC. Halfway through the set I said to a friend that this was the best backing band I’d ever seen, and that “I hope she pays them well.” Many years later I met a member of the band (the saxophone player seen here), and told him what I had said. He smiled and said “She did.” 😂 (Btw, after that phenomenal set some guy named Prince came onstage during the encore, and blew everyone away.)

Over the Holidays while I worked for Chevrolet I had to go to a car show in Long Island NY. The show was on a Sunday. The Night Before I went to Roller World with my 1976 Chevy Race Cube. When I got to Roller World I was Thrilled to see my Skate Team!!! The Rink was decked out & the owner had a Buffet for all the Skate Teams. We were all Skating together then when my team heard this song playing they all stripped down to lingerie they wore under their clothes!!! I SCREAMED "HOLY SHIT"!!! my Girls told me they LOVED Sheila E and wanted to Dedicate this song to me!!! After they were done I told them that they were my Guests to a Car Show in Long Island NY. They were all THRILLED to be invited to New York!!! When we were done at Roller World I took Everyone to my Girlfriend Danielle's house and Booked Hotel Rooms on Long Island for us to stay at. After the Girls got their clothes we went to Long Island. We got to Long Island and got some rest. the next day we all went to the Car Show and met up with my Boss & everyone else. My Boss said hello to me then said, " Who are these BEAUTIFUL Ladies you Brought with you"!!! I Replied to my Boss, " Say HELLO to my Roller-Skating Team!!!! We all hung out together and my Girls did a Photo Shoot with my Race Cube and won the Truck Class with that Photo Shoot!!! My Boss then Came up to me and said, " I am MORE than PROUD of you & your team!!! You people are the epitome of CLASS!!! You people make us SO PROUD!!!!!

There's just no music like there used to be. Back in the day you had real bands with real players playing real instruments with lead singers who could actually sing with accompanying members who could sing as well. Now you just have a whatever face that fits the moment and the whole music track laid out on a computer with solo singers that don't even have to be able to carry a tune. The 70's and especially the 80's was just an explosion of talent and good music in every genre you could imagine. The world is sorely missing good music like this. Btw, I know that almost all made for tv performances are lip sync'd with recorded music.
@zeddeka Жыл бұрын
I think we have to be really careful about having selective memories. If we're honest, there was a huge amount of junk around musically in the 80s too. I'm sure we can all think of a lot of very cynical, commercial pop that the 80s became absolutely notorious for. I do agree though that music has suffered a lot, largely because of social media. The sub cultures and scenes that produced different music and new trends have largely gone. These days, everything is on social media within 30 seconds and it's instantly ubiquitous. Young people are listening to the same stuff in America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa and a lot of the individuality has gone. The legendary music scenes like CBGB in New York in the 70s, The Blitz Club in London in the early 80s and later things like the Chicago House scene. They just really exist anymore. Music from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s was all very distinct. You could pretty much instantly tell which decade it came from because music was constantly evolving. Pop music these days doesn't really feel like it's evolved since the late 90s / early noughties.
