This is a step forward. With the isolation, quarantine, depression and anxiety, not to mention Loneliness, caused by covid, and stress related issues, we need to hear what Sheila is saying. A book by Amy Simpson, Troubled Minds, Mental Illness and the Church, is a good resource that sheds light ♥ on these Issues. Now is the time to consider!

The struggle is real.. 34 yrs old before got treatment. .thank you for light. One who suffers... & prayer warrior. Got help medically too. Tired of waiting for "it" to go away. So true the INVISIBLE disease. No Shame.

Thank you for being real, Sheila. I didn't go to therapy for complex trauma for 27 yrs after trusting Christ because the basic message I got from the church was I shouldn't need it if I'm doing Christianity right 😢. I believed it so was alone in my shame & pain & tried to be a perfect Christian like you said you did 💜 love you you sister for your encouragement & courage to share ❤

I lost about 3 years in total of the prime of my life in suicidal depression often hospitalized. At 63 discovered I have an inborn B12 deficiency which caused it and have not have a depression since (2 1/2 years). But God got me through it all, including being sent to a state hospital as I was considered 'hopeless.'

@@ankundaisabella6291 I'm sorry things are tough. I can't fast because of my diabetes. Maybe listen to this message, share it with a trusted friend and go and see your GP ( Doctor). Mental health is just as important as physical health. Remember if you love and know Jesus as your Saviour you're in a good place. I like what Shelia has said on this vlog!

dont define yourself as clinically depressed, you are a spirit with Holy Spirit and he binds up the broken hearted I did that tried so so hard, your spirit is wounded, I watched a drama once and I actually learnt to praise in the darkness Why art thou cast down oh my soul, I will yet praise the Lord, When I stand before your throne in your glory not my own really released tears.....a friend a young man whose emotions were crushed taught me to praise with all his heart, in worship and I think declaring the truth does it. My mom lived her whole adult life fighting the trauma of war, it is not a new thing

The body ( church) operates like a sham. Happy happy come and join our Sunday school while thousands are carrying pain unknown to the majority because no one knows how to deal with it. That's why I have given up on the organized church. Maybe someday revival will hit and honesty will again be introduced

Yeah. I'm awaiting the same thing. Maybe when enough people get enough of the Holy Spirit, the church will wise up.

The church fails to being balance to a persons physical and mental issues not just spiritual. Consider rest, diet, exercise, touch and a friend.
