And he has a great smile that makes Funk fun....these Rappers gotta smile more....enjoy life. Bootsy appreciates it because he helped to create it...he’s gotta smile when he knows he started with James Brown!!! Brown taught Bootsy the “1”.....then he took that to George and the Mob!! Taught George how to Funk on the “1” and the rest is history he can smile at!🤩

If I got the story right, before his 1st album Prince was in the studio, Chaka called looking for Bootsy & Prince pretended to be him. When she got there & found it was Prince, she cursed him out. Prince apologized & told her someday he'd write a song for her. Years later she recorded "I Feel For You" & Prince produced an entire album for her. Imagine listening to Chaka in high school & then all of that. Bootsy is connected to so many! He's a Total Legend & I love that his mother gave him that name as a kid!!!💜💜💜💜💜

From James to George, Bootsy has laid down some of the most iconic Bass lines..Soul Power, talkin loud, tear the roof off the sucker, Flashlight , One Nation and Knee deep. Shit Bootsy and Bernie Worrell was the glue that held it down for PFunk. Without em, the music genre would barely exist.

When the Queen of the drums & percussion Sheila E. Was talking about the peddles she wasn't lieing i was blessed to get to see Bootsy live at Glam Slam cause i was working with Prince main dj & got plenty of times guess djing in the Ascot room. I got to go up stair & looked down stairs & got blown a way with what i saw he had a dj coffin case full of foot peddles & was using them all. It blew me away cause i've seen plenty of concerts & saw bass players with 1 or 2 foot peddles. So when he stopped using the peddles if my count was right there was 23 foot peddles in the dj coffin. i was so blown by this i didn't know what song he was playing cause i was blown away about all those peddles & him using most of them. It was a great show to me Cause i'm fan of him i still have his records Bootsy & the Rubberband record with the cardboard bootsy glasses & 3 others + 1 cd. I enjoyed his recent lp. yes i'm a p-funk head & have alot of those records too. As for Sheila E i still have The Glamorous life lp. + the 12" , Koo koo 12" & Droppin' like flies. I also like your latest single Lemon Cake. Hope to hear more great music from you both in the future may the funk be with you both.

On the ONE! 2 of my favorite musicians of all time still choppin it up like youngstas lol. Hall of Fame G.O.A.T. status to say the least! Sheila, you've been trailblazing ever since Azteca. I saw you *live* with Prince in Vancouver, Krush Groove is a cult classic, your work with George Duke was phenomenal, the Magic Johnson Show skits - lol, all of your classic solo albums & singles, the Super Bowl halftime show with El Rey, your TV performances with your family, Ringo Starr, Club Quarantine & your own YT show now!!! I'm 9 months older than you, so you're like my little sister who made it big out the barrio lol, & still lookin & soundin great too. Im so proud of you. Bootsy IS the FUNK! Cant say enough about him & his impact on modern music. Saw him *live* too! I've studied both of your styles intensely, & it has greatly enhanced my overstanding & skill level. Thnx for sharing your gifts & vibes with humanity, & thnx for this great interview. I learned some cool little factoids today. Drum & Bass for a loving race. Axé

I wish people would talk about Jamiroquai....They’re the Funkiest Band that gets no credit!!! Sheila can you highlight Jamiroquai’s catalog? Am I the only one who listens to Jamiroquai? What did Prince and Bootsy think of Jamiroquai? And U Sheila...do you listen to Jamiroquai? I’m a serious Funkateer!! Now I get giving James Brown, Prince, P-Funk and all the Funk pioneers they do.They deserve it. But can we give Jamiroquai their flowers.....they still Funkin’! So please Sheila spotlight Jamiroquai. I love you and Thank you for all your Funk! You’re in my top 10 of my favorite drummers....actually ahead of Prince!! 😘
