Rumor it’s out of Prince’s vault or was a jam Prince cooked up that Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis took and gave to Janet- a lot of their songs are so similar to Prince jams- and this song was produced(they were fired in 83, song released in 86) around the time they were fired for producing for other artist. And I just don’t think Prince would cause hell on them and Janet around that time. And Prince performing this song in this manner AINT helping them beat the allegations. They came into their own sound late 80’s, but man did a lot of songs they produced for SOS, Janet, and Alexander O’Neal sound almost too Prince like
