I love the effect with the antiqued underglaze, especially with the yellow one. It really brought out the detail from the mold in a way a solid color just doesn't. I'd love to see you try this technique on some of the other detailed molds where you haven't been happy with your results.

Oh amazing! I am so happy you liked that! I find that even I forget what the glaze looked like before so it makes it tricky to compare! Seeing them side by side shows how much they do change and transform in the kiln! I love that you thought they looked like carved gemstones!

They turned out really pretty! I think the antiquing is what made it work so well. My favorite was the green/blue one, followed by the yellow (which is surprising to me because yellow isn't one of my favorite colors). The two that turned out red did look the most like carved gemstones but didn't really suit my personal tastes. 😅

My bird now has a bird friend! They were probably snuggling! Its so strange they have gone rather quiet as the weather has gotten colder! I have noticed that the neighbourhood cockatiels are really quiet too so I am hoping its just because they are cold like me and don't feel like singing much!

I have a cold allergy - like. ...literally, im allergic to it 😂 if you stick an ice cube on my arm, the spot it touches swells and breaks out in hives.
