How funny, my 6-year-old does the same thing every Saturday morning! My husband took our kids on a trip this week so I’m home alone and just watched this video on my own and was missing my little buddy. Can’t wait to show her this one. She will love it.

My daughter also loves these. She just asked can we go to "that girls" house and help her make squirrels next time 😂

I love the slower pace of this video and watching you paint in real time! Don't ever think this is repetitive. Your viewers watch dozens, if not hundreds of other videos inbetween yours and it's never a mistake to show your process each time. Looking forward to next week!

Love the squirrels, I like the unglazed version too, the only thing I would do differently would be to paint some shiny glaze onto the eyes. I did it once on a hare I made in pottery class and I love the effect.

I like the squirrels, and I like how you draw such fine details, you are also including a lot of my favourite things on the drawing, books tea, plants I like the furry details in the texture of the mold. They turned out so beautiful
@emilyflavell16582 жыл бұрын
I've gotta say, antiquing usually isn't my favourite, but on these little guys it's so effective! It really makes their fur pop and adds a bit more of a dark academia vibe. The un antiqued ones are still really gorgeous though, they're giving me cottagecore
@jpendowski75032 жыл бұрын
As usual you blow me away with creative accents on what could have been a straightforward piece. The glaze experiment was successful as each one has a unique look. It was fun to see you real time illustrate the squirrels. Thanks for a fun end of the week treat. Not going to say my favorite as each one has a special quality to it.

OMG too cute: a group of squirrels is called a scurry. The painting is unique; something different for you. The style I like best is antiqued with low sheen. They are as cute as they can be! See you next week.

Another mould from my home town!! I really want to do some research on that mould company. If you're curious, the city is abbreviated. It's Columbus, ohio, USA. And the mould company is named for the river that goes through the city. Also it would be fun to make a black and white squirrel set because those are natural squirrels but a little funky! 🐿🐿

Very cute! I like the antiquing, always a fan of using it to bring out all the effort put into carving the mold (or the original, however they went about it). And for something dark academia adding age to it just works, you know? They're all very sweet and I love them.

I have a suggestion for the mould 100, using this style of random things painted on these, but instead of using random items you could represent the 99 previous moulds onto the output of the 100th one! I'm not certain how pretty and great the result would be, but it would mark that reveal. Also, this could be an editing nightmare, but cutting the painting with a picture of the piece you're representing could look like a walk through the memory lane of all those reveals. P.S. I really liked the real time painting with the music, it put me back to why I started watching your videos, it was a way to calm my mind and relax in a time of my life where everything was going wrong. In the last few episodes I found myself watching the reveal, skipping the painting (or doing something else while it was rolling) and going to the end to see the kiln opening and the last thoughts about the results. This format forced me to sit back, relax and enjoy the calmness of your art. P.P.S When the P.S. is bigger than the main text, I wonder which one should be the main text? And since I believe both are as important to read, I don't have the answer. At least I'm actively trying to not make the P.P.S bigger than the others.

Those are so cute! My first thought was salt and pepper shakers. With the light and dark glazes, no need for S or P markings. I was hoping for flower covered squirrels. When you've gone through the entire series of molds, I think you could redo it and take ideas for glazing. Enjoying all of your videos and don't want them to end.

Last Saturday was the first time I was painting pottery. In my city there is a place where they prepare for you different things out of clay and they fire it. Then you chose what you like and paint it using colorful glaze. After that they fire it for you and you come to pick it up. I can't wait! Although I really had no idea how time consuming it is. One flower pot took my 5 hours! Maybe because you essentially paint everything three times 😂

I do really like the antiquing, with the level of detail on this mold it really lets you see it. If I were working with that mold, I'd paint the squirrel naturalistically, but then do something creative with what he's holding. A little sculpting on that part when the clay is still soft, and it could be anything! A bouncy ball, an Easter egg, a cupcake,, a pearl, a planet, anything that a squirrel would not logically be holding.
