@semnome9536 I think the writers, who otherwise did an outstanding job, failed here a bit. They didn't really manage to mesh a loving Sheldon with everyday Sheldon very well.

Yeah like it should’ve been enough that they were having Valentine’s Day on a train (something he loves), the least he could’ve done was compromise and give Amy a romantic date. The only reason their relationship ever really worked was because Amy just kept setting the bar lower and lower

You guys realize that Sheldon is autistic right? He doesn't know that he's breaking social norms. He's excited to be on the train. The others should have known he would behave like that. They act like he's not neurodivergent at all, and expect him to act typically. That's unrealistic. It sucks for Amy, but she has to embrace his lack of social skills, because he just doesn't register what is acceptable and what's not

@@PerseusJackson-ud3gq Both the show and show runners have made it a point to explicitly state he’s not autistic. But even if he was, autism does not make you infallible. You’re allowed to be upset at an autistic partner for neglecting you, especially when your partner fails to even attempt to empathize with you. It’s infantilizing at best to imply he’s incapable of even making the effort

This was my most FAVORITE Sheldon moment. He really did care about Amy and this was the moment he REALLY showed it. Sheldon did grow a lot in this show. Every moment he grew, I got prouder and prouder.

I dare you to find a single physicist, neuro-biologist, and/or engineer, on the planet that wouldn't be accommodating and always kind to people like Sheldon and his new friend no matter the circumstance. Sometimes you can really tell this show was written by drama/english literature students/grads that never dropped their highschool clique mentality when they became adults.

Knowing that Sheldon developed his initial interest in Amy by seeing how similar she was to him, I wonder if he would ever cheat on her with this guy.

I could see Sheldon doing this at moments for several years into their marriage. Even when they have kids Sheldon walks off with a complete stranger and makes a friend on a train.
