I found your video as I was searching how to use to device properly. I am glad someone else is having issues with the charging situation of it. I feel like I've had it 2/3 week and have already charged it 3 times. I just can't tell if it's charging or not, why when you plug in to charge would it suddenly hit maximum fan speed and turn the lights on? Surely the device should know that it is plugged in and not in the fridge so it doesn't need all that running...unless it needs the fan to cool it down while charging? I just looked on the FAQ section you mentioned and saw it takes 7 hours to charge, that's a pretty long time for something to charge especially when I can't tell if it's charging or not. I also have trouble connecting through the app, I've had to put a wifi extender near to the fridge and even then I maybe only get an update on my phone once every 24 hours. In terms of do I think it has worked or not, it's hard to tell. Someone needs to make a video with 2 identical fridge and contents, one with a Shelfy, one without. That's the only way to know I guess. Like you mentioned in your comments my wife also said that the fridge smells a lot better so maybe it's doing something.

Great feedback. I'm going to do a follow up vide- and I can say 17 days in it needed a new full charge - which I had to do over night. So yes- the battery and charging seems to be a weak point. App I found good and easy - and connectivity I've had no issue. 2 things on that - 1 is I have an Orbi mesh network but no extender near the fridge. 2. I found it only reaches out and connects every so often - so I can see the "last Time it connected" and sometimes it is connected when I'm looking. I'm more convinced "It works" now 23 days in. The fridge is definitely "fresher" and it seems that perishables are defiantly lasting longer and cheese doesn't seem to go off as fast... follow up video will come soon

Yes, I agree, I also got my first Shelfy up and running yesterday. And I was very, very surprised that the device spins the fan completely nonsensically and lights up the (disinfectant ?) LEDs even during a long charge🥴 This, of course, extends the charging time as well. Surely the Italian engineers should remove such a bug in the firmware quickly, I'm surprised that something like this got the green light for production...

I want to try it but it’s too expensive now and I think I’ll put a power bank directly in the fridge for charging. I don’t think the temps will ruin the batteries so much

Yeah. But as I said I work in sterile environments and if I’m using non sterile water it won’t make a difference in my professional experience. - my washed hands should be as clean as water in pipes and not sky cleaned surfaces - but if you want to wear gloves - go for it 👍

Most welcome @@raphdroidt692 - So it's now two days in so hard to say if it is keeping the food fresher for longer. My initial "is it working" can only relate to the app and (is it running) but will promise top do a follow up video in two months. As per does the app work - YES. It's actually quite cool. I was concerned about how the wifi connection would work when it's inside my fridge. But... it does. Even when I was out yesterday I opened the app and it connected to the device - so that was good. The app is working to tell me fridge temps, and how much we open the fridge. We did a big reload of the fridge yesterday and you could se that as I filled the fridge - I had the fridge door open for about 10 minutes - and you could see the temp spike up. So - clearly the sensor of fridge opening and the temp sensor are working. Every so often it "breathes". So it works as a "device" being connected to the app. Let me get back in 2 months and see if it works as designed and I can see visible differences in food life (especially veggies) and do I subjectively think the fridge smells less (another claim).

I’m in Italy and they shipped from Italy. 24 hours from product release to me getting it. I saw the company was from Italy so maybe was faster because I’m just down the road.
