Hello ,I have seen comments from the manufacturers/sellers who said is not compatible with my Poco 4X pro because the volumen buttons should be on the left ,but I see its controlled by an externa button, does it really matters? They said its only compatible with phones with buttons to the left and I am not sure if I should buy it ir not , nice video thanks for taking the time to do it👍

I'm no diver, can barely swim. Bought the shellbox gen 2 for a rather expensive bike mount as a universal case so I don't have to buy 30 euro adapter for every phone I currently (or in the future) own. will see how it works when it arrives :D

Love your video. It helps a lot! May I know if iPhone’s pressure resistance is safe to go underwater below 30-50meters? I am currently using iPhone 13 Pro Max, I tried to google but unfortunately not much information out there.

Interesting question. I am going to verify with Apple, but latest tests show iPhone 13 can handle up to 443 Newtons in pressure. At .225 lbs per Newton, you have 99.67 Lbs for 443 Newton. At 70 meters or 210 feet, your at roughly 100 PSI. This all back of the napkin, but 200 feet would be max. The Divevolk is only good to 180, so hopefully you’re not going that deep. Most other housings have a hard case, so internal pressure remains at 1 atmosphere anyway. You should be fine.

if you are referring to the one in the back, you could leave it on. If you are talking about the one in front where camera goes, then yes remove it so that it doesn't impact the quality of the video or photo.

I have the Seatouch Max. DO NOT SWIPE. There are specific instructions saying NOT to swipe your screen. Especially while not underwater.

I have used this housing on well over 200+ dives. There will be times, when you need to swipe. It is just a fact. I've never had a problem when using my bare fingers. My only concern is when using gloves. I've had occasions on the surface, say between dives with little time or a bounce dive, I need to change settings. That is the major selling point and advantage of the housing. How do you do that without swiping?

Thanks for the useful comparison. I'm looking for an underwater housing for my iPhone 13 Pro to using during India's Holi festival (where they throw colored powders and paint). It is a different, less demanding use case in some ways. I've been testing the Shellbox for fit and operation and came to the same conclusion you did about the phone resting too far beneath the membrane. I was able to install my phone while still in its normal case inside the Shellbox and it actually worked fine except that the lip on my normal case prevented me from swiping up from the edge of the screen. I think I'm going to put some thin foam weather stripping under the phone to lift the screen up against the membrane. Hopefully that doesn't mess up the operation of the shutter button. (edit: It does). If the Divevolk had a physical shutter button I would gladly pay more for the extra quality. Are you able to get your finger inside of it to clean the inside surface of the lens cover if it gets dirty?

to clean it I used a micro fiber cloth, attached to the end of a stiff q-tip type swab.

To clean inside lens cover I use a micro cloth and a plastic ruler or hard flat object. My fingers can fit.
