Some of the personal pictures and messages included in this video by Shelley Harland could tear your heart out, some of them so anguished and full of pain, but they are pertinent to the words she sings. I have loved this song from the first listen, after a dear friend from the last.fm website shared a different version attributed to "Pixszels". It took me awhile to find that Shelley was the singer, but I quickly bought and thoroughly enjoy the "Red Leaf" album, from which "In The Dark" comes. Perhaps the more theatrical earlier release appeals a bit more to me because I heard it first, but both versions of the song are wonderful. Shelley has a beautiful voice that I want to hear more of. And just like that, I read on her website, www.shelleyharland.com/shelleyharland/Home.html that a new album, "The Girl Who Cried Wolf", is scheduled to be released in Jan., 2014. Guess I'll be visiting Amazon or iTunes soon.
