@Lynne Crisp Mrs Hofstadter played by Christine Baranski (I think that's right). I read an interview with Christine about how the BBT creators were just going to have her appear in one or two episodes. But they liked her work so much that she had appearances in every season after that. Christine said she loved that they wanted her back, and to expand the Mrs Hofstadter character. Great actress - so right for that part 👏

2:54 this scene is simply genius, Sheldon is clearly very similar to Leonard's mother and the reason Leonard seems to still stay close to Sheldon even though Sheldon drives him mad is most likely because of his loveless childhood. But his mother does not seem to see this because now she is involved in it. And Leonard fearing his mother says something about this or that he himself realizes this, wants to get out of this situation as fast as possible. Early seasons of big bang theory are amazing-
