Shelter - A Porter Robinson & Madeon Orchestration

This orchestration strays from what I normally do, but regardless it was an extremely fun project. Inspired by your suggestions and Seycara's arrangement of this song, I decided to try my own. This year has been filled with a lot of new opportunities for me, with the album launch and other projects and commissions, I've been keeping myself busy. As I continue to grow as an arranger I never forget the family and friends that brought me here. I owe it all to you guys for all the support. Sounds great, I especially like the playful, disney-like part starting at around 1:20. And the added trumpets/clarinets(?) + violines just add more and more to it. At around 3:00 it almost reminds me of Yuki Hayashi a bit, and it just leads the ochestration just into a whole new part, that has a nice touch to it, on it's own. And finally at around 4:47 we are lead to a very sudden, silent part to hold in for a moment to reflect on ourselves. Maybe even on the past year? Well that's my interpretation of it at least. Awesome arrangement as usual :) [No one will notice that I have no clue what I'm talking about]

I was actually speachless after listening to this. I know this might sound cheesy, but I literally can not find the words to describe this. You see, I am creating a story, one that I'm very passionate about, so much so that it's difficult to convey it others. Even though this song isn't actually associated with my story, just thinking about all of it's characters, their friendships, the things they go through and everything else I've created, along with this song, is a feeling truly impossible for me to describe. so long story short ya did a gude job

@@el2656(edit, I should clarify, there has been progress, notuch of an update to give though.) Uh, well yes! Thanks for asking! But, I'm still not sure how to tell it. At least most of it. I know mostly how I want to do it, but executing properly on it is tricky. If you are indeed interested though, I have an Instagram with many many pictures of the characters. Several separate stories. And take the older posts with a grain of salt, as a lot has changed since then.

I'll be honest, this is probably one of my favorite songs coming into 2021 and coming into 2022 because of how timeless it feels to me. I've constantly defied all odds medically, socially, and physically, and I'm still not done yet. Obviously, I'm not going to go into specifics, but if anyone wants to get an idea, the doctors thought that I wasn't going to make it past 10 years, yet here we are. Thank you for the amazing remix, legit brought me into tears just looking back at everything that happened through the pandemic and my own life, much love

Ever listened to the hour+ of Ori and the Blind Forest arrangements? You're wonderful at motifs. I've been following you around for, uh, a couple of years now. The thing about your music is that it explores ideas. It takes a theme -- often represented in a music themed motif -- and expands it, draws parallels, or contrasts it to other ideas in the same work. It's genius... and I come from a family of musicians (very good ones), so I feel I can probably say that with a small amount of authority. It's still just a KZbin comment, but still, it's been wonderful watching you grow, experiment, and expand. That's why I thought of Ori. The game explores fascinating ideas, and the soundtrack, an hour and half long nearly, explores the motifs over and over. If you haven't played the game, it's easy to watch online. You're very talented. I can't wait to see what you create in this new year :)
