I know you're not there yet but in Tahoe I was a cabinet installer on these SIP houses. I HATED trying to make my cabinet screws not spin in that OSB. If a screw spun my conscious gets the best of me and I have to correct it somehow usually by more screws but I don't like my cabinets looking peppered with screws from the inside either. I only imagine some fatty grabbing the cabinet door to heave herself up on the counter and the cabinets coming down like dominos. This is for sure where you need a fat course threaded screw to properly hold to the OSB because those skinny cabinet screw will spin in OSB like it was spinning in butter. Even now I don't care for those skinny cabinet screws that take a T15 bit because they spin in a stud pretty easily as well.

Beautiful. I'm curious how come the Gable roof structure has no wind braces going across the front? Does the Gable roof take care of the wobble or will the construction underneath take care of that?

Do you any additional details on how the the deck for the porch comes together? We’re building a deck with a timber framed covered portion and I’m trying understand my options for building the deck first vs. the timber frame first.

I think the treatment or finish they use help prevent that. But it's nearly impossible to keep em out unless you're vigilant and do your part of preventive maintenance.
