i remember when I thru-hiked the ST in 2017 headed northbound, when I got to the college and saw that lake/pond .... I stopped and rested there for the longest time. Didn't help I had hiked all night long to make up miles I was behind. It was about 6m when I got there and the mist above the pond was so surreal. It was hard to move on but 2 days later I finished my thru-hike
