We rented a house the last 7 years and we took care of it like it was our own. Our landlord loved us and we had a great relationship. We just bought a home and close next week! So we're finally moving on to our very own home and I cannot wait.

You made your space a home for you & your babies. It doesn’t matter that it’s a rental, because it’s a safe place to raise your boys. The fact that you still made it such a beautiful space and treated it as if it was your own, says a lot about the person you are. I wish all the tenants I’ve had were more like you. ♥️

Great lesson here: if you want nice stuff and can’t afford (or don’t want) to pay someone to build, you can do it yourself. I hate people who complain they don’t have nice stuff but don’t want to do anything about it. Great job - I love what you did - keep them coming. Cheers

I'm so intimidated by our seemingly unmanageable back yard, but all of these projects look doable for me and made such a big impact. I'm inspired!!!
@chandracox6814 Жыл бұрын
Take on small projects over time and it won't seem so unmanageable. Do a little every day, even ten minutes worth of weeding or cleaning up will make a huge difference over time. Set a timer on your phone for ten or fifteen minutes and when it's done, either stop or keep going if you're up to it. Not only will it motivate you but it will also give you extra serotonin from touching the dirt. Yes, playing around in dirt (weeding, planting, etc.) gives that boost we all love and need. Being in the sun does too! So that's aj added bonus. Just don't forget your sunscreen! ✌️

Y'all are such hard workers! I am sad that you didn't get to enjoy all of your hard work, but when my husband was watching this and the front yard makeover with me, he said...I really hate it that they are spending so much money on the yard since it is a rent house! We have, however, done a lot of painting and work on places we have rented just because I didn't want to live there unless we did! :) I believe you will have a backyard someday soon for you to enjoy! God will bless you back for all that you did! It's all beautiful! And you have a gift to make everything so pretty working with what you have!

Lovely project! And A+ on the transformation! Your work really brought out how beautiful your trees were, too! Re the patio stones, it’s important that water always flow away from the house. If it does prove to be a problem, the landlord can always just go back and regrade because your stones were dry laid.
