Despite being 1958 film it showed women in much better ways than the later films did. Renu and Sheela driving alone, women open the bonnet and have understanding of mechanics, women fighting with men, standing up for their rights, and the end scene scene where girls are driving and the boys are on the back seat. It's truly amazing.

@Aurangzeb Ali Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, my friend. I'd agree that the recent actresses have well defined features and figures but one mustn't forget that these are modern times where one could artificially enhance their looks. Be it through surgeries or fillers. But in the era that of Madhubala, obviously nothing like it was there and still she looked as if, moonlight personified. I'd agree that there indeed are better looking women than her but maybe Madhubala's innocence and vivacious persona set her apart. Well I'm just 20, it's my perspective.

Fantastic movie. So simple and humorous. Ashok Kumar ji, Kishore Kumar ji and Madhubala ji were greatest actors. Madhubala ji is known for her mesmerizing beauty, but she was a wonderful actress as well - full of style and talent. Her voice, dialogue delivery and expressions were superb. Sad that these three did not come together after this movie. Madhubala ji fell ill soon after her marriage with Kishore da. In an interview, Ashok Kumar ji had said that Kishore da proved to be a wonderful husband and cared for his ailing wife. He bought her a new flat and recruited nursing staff, as his home was not suitable for Madhubala ji's care. Madhubala ji's ailment turned out to be more serious than what they thought earlier. A slow death that the lady faced broke their heart. Considering that today at Koshore da's home, Amit Kumar with his wife and daughter, Kishore Kumar's first and fourth wife, and son from fourth wife live together in harmony, it is easily inferred that Kishore da was a peaceful, caring and nice human being, and all of them are together because of that bond. He hated the swindlers in film industry, which is the reason behind his eccentric ways. People who were close to Kishore da, like Lata Mangeshkar ji, Asha Bhosle ji, Mahmood ji and Bappi da, claim that they have never come across a person better than Kishore da. May the soul of Ashok Kumar ji, Kishore da and Madhubala ji rest in peace.
