Thanks a lot man! It’s a pretty tense build up to the rooftop scene so I was eager to try and do this one. Shame we only hear about 30 seconds of it in-game though

Dude, I feel like I've only sneezed inbetween asking you for this cover and seeing it's delivery! 😂 Honestly top tier as always. Can't be many tracks left to cover now right? Speaking of which, I was wondering what the end goal was with all these covers? Am I right in knowing these were potentially going to be used in the Dragon/Phoenix Remakes?

Haha 😂thank you very much man! Sometimes it will take a few weeks, then sometimes it’ll take a day. Each song varies but hands down Niao Sun premiere I think was still by far one of the most challenging to reproduce. There are a lot of songs to cover from both games but I’m working with a very passionate team and we are working hard to get them all done. This just started as a personal passion project really, just to see how Shenmue’s music would sound with updated instruments. Thankfully along the way, Shenmue fans like yourself have posted comments of encouragement and support, even their own requests which has helped my confidence a lot so I just kept at it. Yes eventually I would like my covers to be used in the Dragon and Phoenix collection, thankfully I’m not the only one working on the music otherwise it would take a very long time lol. I also hope to write more of my own Shenmue music in the future and maybe one day Yu-san might hear it and go…. Nice 👍lol

Oh no Survival I don’t run anything lol. I’m just working alongside a small team, helping out really. The covers on my channel are all my own, however there are a mammoth of songs that still have to be heard but thankfully that responsibility is being divided between us otherwise it would take much longer to get done

Ahh yeah I remember the Niao Sun track, the narration had you banging your head against the wall, right? xD Fair play man, honestly I'd love to suggest more tracks but I thinks it's safe to say you've filled in the cracks, the Rod Stunt one I was tapping my foot for a few months 😂 And if you hadn't have done it already I'd rallying for 'Unused 3' (Which I was really hoping would've been used in a long sweeping intro to S3). I'll have to have a gander and see if I can conjure up some more headaches haha. Any tracks you've made that you're particularly proud of, besides the struggle of Niao Sun, are there any you felt really made a mark in your mind when making them or tested your musical prowess, I guess?

Yeah dude my hearing has never been the same since lol It was challenging enough trying to figure out what some instruments were, never mind the distorted narration that tried to kill my ears 😂 No honestly I appreciate the requests, It’s helped me get outside my comfort zone when it comes to some of the more complicated song choices. Unused 3 is probably one of the greatest Shenmue songs we never got to hear in the game, would even go further and say it’s one of the best just in general. The imagination that went into that song is awe inspiring. Would be amazing if they used it in Shenmue 4. I can give you a few lol. I’d probably say the opening theme has been one of the more difficult songs because they used a live orchestra for that recording, also the time signatures were all over the place 😅 I was curious to see just how I’d get on but honestly, still to this day that song is an ongoing process. Another would be the FREE 20 track I wrote based on the harbour area in Shenmue 1. I’m very critical of my own work but I was quite proud of how that song turned out, and just proud I struck up the courage to put it on KZbin really. Finally Seeming Defeat is one of my personal favourites so I spent a lot of time on that cover too.
