I can comfortably say that this is only a taste of what it would’ve looked like on Dreamcast. As no doubt they would’ve pushed the hardware to new unparalleled depths if Shenmue 3 were to be designed for Dreamcast!

We released Dreams of Saturn within a week of the original planned release date, so we take it seriously when announcing a project. Unless I have a sudden family emergency or fall from a tree, we should be ok.

Fantastic job, wow. While Shenmue III as-released was beautiful in its own right, I often wish we had gotten a version like this--it would have been more cost-effective to produce and consistent.

In fairness to use the actual DC engine would have cost more. They explored the idea and Cedric said it wasn't voable financially at the time.

I hate to speak out of turn, but George Kitchen is proof that if we want the Shenmue series to continue, I think we may need to leave it up to the fans. This trailer is astounding with amazing cinematography from the camera angles, zooms, angels, and just everything. A++++++

I honestly feel that shenmue should've stayed in dreamcast graphics. Add more fluidity and polish with the power of new technologies but I remember thinking when I played shenmue 3 when it came out that I miss the original look and feel. And it still holds up well even today. Its part of the charm of shenmue and this trailer just solidify that opinion for me.

Unfortunately not. The project while having the DC look was designed with modern PC in mind so it takes advantage of things in Unity that the DC can't handle

Only PC as its not an official release. It might be coming to MAC as well.

Yes, only PC (and open platforms). This is an unofficial project, not published by Sega. PlayStation is a closed ecosystem, that prohibits mods and unlicensed and homebrew software.

The short answer is no. While it has that DC look it is taking advantage of Unity in some other aspects that won't run on DC. Also George is doing this with the help of his brother so there's no large team behind this.
