Shepherd Dog Of Kosova | Illyrian Shepherd

Illyrian Shepherd Dog are native mountain dog which can be found in territory of Moder day Albanian , North Macedonia & Kosovo and more .
Illyrian shepherd was a name used before Ygollasvian Sarplaninac for Highlander type Sheepdogs .
The name of the breed were replaced in FCI . And now these name use both for same breed .
The dogs are performing in Highland of mountain rage of " Sar " know for cold temperatures and harsh environment
which make these dog tough and able to fight against wolf & bear to protect the livestock .

I just love watching the dogs work. I need to tell you thank you . I went to a job the other day and there was a livestock gaudian dog there. Časni, oko 30-ih godina prošlog veka, ovaj pas je u Sloveniji dobio ime Ilirski deltar,a kasnije ga je Srbija primorala da ime, s manipulacijom i propagandom, promeni u sarplaninac. Ali nakon formiranja Države Kosovo, ime ovog psa sada je ponovo ilirska deltar. Hrvatski pozdrav.

These dogs resemble the wolf and are very close to it. Especially Qen Sharri Kontramaska is very sought after since it is the oldest known dog of sharr and the face resemblance with wolfs is crazy.

The black Sea shepherd is not property of Turkey so i will call dog with local names that they serve . What you call karadeniz in Turkey with Illyrian shepherd is the same dog different names by different locations. If we go back in Genesis yes the shepherd came from East (Asia ) . This is Serbian dog Sarplaninac. Our Serbian army has been breeding and using these dogs for 100 years. It originates from the Sar mountain. This breed is the pride of Serbia.

Im not talking for all king of Shepherd but for one with are root of Nomadic shepherd plus Highlander are every where second these dog are not breed standart . Third im referring Archaic Nomadic shepherd dy types Normal hair which serves in lower terrain and long hair Alpine type . Both types have subtypes . And you Georgia shepherd is not bigger its not stronger but same dog . Are you referring standart caucasian shepherd ?! Because this doesn't make any sound of sense . Have you ever see them by real or just by my video ? So how did you came in this conclusion . Because its same breed common Ancestor . In Armenian gampr beyond Archaic shepherd they have put many outcross mastiff in and classified as gampr . And im not talk for modern outcross but for old outcross . When im referring Archaic Shepherd im referring wolfdog root not second version of Mesopotamia but Nomadic herding dog .

@@HBKennel yes we spoke of this. I think the kangal has some grayhound bin it. Maybe that's why it's thinner and faster at running. Yes the illyrian shepherd and Georgian Shepherd (caucasian) are the same, but the ones from Georgia are bigger. I'm guessing the stronger ones stayed in Georgia while the smaller ones migrated to Illyria. I'm not arguing that they are archaic dogs. I just like to talk about the differences among archaic dogs. There are very visible and behavioral differences among archaic dogs, but all are big, strong and protective.

@@one4all885 kangal has nothing to do with Greyhound , is late version of sight hounds used in Europe for hunting. Archaic shepherd are second version after wolfdog offspring gray wolf . Kangal has nothing to to with Greyhound , dog like kangal are everywhere in EuroAsia . Kangal is just put in standart by Turkish. Do not make statements . Archaic shepherd usually run fast not only kangal . I have post kangal standart was brought by Nomadic and is Ancient dog .

I haven't heard anything stupider. It is a Serbian dog, not an Albanian dog. Serbs are natives of the Balkans. Don't think that the Sarplaninac came with the Albanians whom they displaced as Turks. The Illyrian shepherd is another name for the Sarplaninac. Kosovo is Serbia.
