This psalm gives me comfort in my time of sorrow. My dear cousin was called home to God on 6/28/12, way too suddenly, and way too soon. She was almost like the big sister that I never had, we were so close. I know God must have had a good reason for calling her so suddenly, I just wish I had a chance to say goodbye. There is one thing that I know about when I go to church. I feel serenity and at peace. No matter how many problems I am going through right now that is my TRUE home. I feel at home and at rest. Nothing matters, I could think about my problems they may get my feelings of sadness but I never feel more confort then there and with my family there. Not my real family.

Good luck in your journey. Glad that you are in RCIA. It is not nessesary to be Catholic to be saved, but the fullness of faith is rewarded from within the Church. It is wonderful to witness the faith of converts to Catholicism. Too many of the Catholic born are lukewarm to their faith. I was born Catholic but ran away from the church for most of my adult life. I have come back and have been welcomed as a prodigal son. My parish has a Baptist convert studying for the priesthood. Good luck!
