Sher Shivraj is a 2022 Indian Marathi-language historical drama film directed by Digpal Lanjekar and produced by Chinmay Mandlekar, Digpal Lanjekar, Nitin Keni, Pradyot Pendharkar and Anil Warkhade.[2] The film based on the life of Maratha king, Shivaji where he defeated Afzal Khan with brilliant tactics and courage stars Chinmay Mandlekar in titular role, Mrinal Kulkarni, Ajay Purkar, Mukesh Rishi along with Bipin Surve and Rohan Mankani in supporting roles.[3][4] The film was released theatrically on 22 April 2022.[5] It is the fourth movie of the series in an eight movies series on Maratha Empire. It will be followed by yet unnamed movie on Shivaji adventures in Agra.

सत्य इतिहास तो यह है की शिवाजी महाराज 4 फेब्रुवारी 1670 (ज्युलियन कॅलेंडरनुसार) की लडाई होने के बाद ही कोंढाणा का सिंहगड का नाम रखा, ऐसा नही है| 1663 के कुछ पत्र मिले हैं उसमें सिंहगड ऐसा नाम आता हैं| मतलब इस लडाई से पहले भी सिंहगड नाम ज्ञात था |

The peculiar way of saying 'raje' is a term of endearment. Every marathi person believes to this day in addressing our king as 'my king'- as if he were a member of the household- an elder brother for younger kids, women,a son for mother's, fathers and one would be looking out for them in any adverse situation. The Chhatrapati used to survey his 'praja' on horseback regularly and several times under cover. Such was his rule that even the most far flung of his subjects felt as if the king was always next door and looking after them. Our Maharaj believed that under his watch none of his subjects should sleep on an empty stomach, no household should be forced to live without swabhimaan, and the most important thing- all of us are hindus and Marathas first and foremost. He is a father to all marathi children- of all castes, creeds and races. It is said that chhatrapatis 'hindavi swarajya' was composed of all the 18 castes ( a rough translation) - which in itself was an accomplishment considering the nasty curse of casteism which hinduism suffers from. His idea of swarajya is a shining example of what hindus can achieve if United.
