Im a straight guy, a licensed Clinical Exercise Physiologist & a Biochemist. And I listened to Dr Idriss videos everytime I'm doing my evening skin care routine. My friend made fun of me for it but I find her very informative, scientific, yet with very easy-to-digest delivery. I love to broaden my biochemistry knowledge in various application settings. So I love all her videos as Im just in my 2nd year of having a proper facial care because 2 years ago Im just the facial cleanser guy with tea tree oil on the hand whenever pimple pops out. Now I'm with AHA/BHA cleanser, calming toner, retinol B3 serum & peptide essence on the evening and gentle cleanser, tea tree toner plus SPF45+ sunscreen gelcream during the day. My skin never looks better! Even my girlfriend said there's obvious changes over the year. So thanks Dr Shereene!

Skincare is selfcare. It's for everyone and I'm really happy you're doing what feels good for you, regardless of some peoples kinda backwards view on this issue (I'm sure they are lovely people, just saying they shouldn't make fun of you for something that is part of your hygiene routine). Plus, not surprised a biochemist would find this topic and Dr Idriss 's videos interesting. Yeah for good science and well-being ! Keep rocking ❤

Double commenting because I'm lazy and because it needs to be said: sunscreen is a must for everyone, good on you for making it a priority ! Ps: having a boyfriend who's into skincare sounds supercool. It can be another opportunity to bond with your partner, exchange experiences and pamper each other. I'm happy for your girlfriend and I wish you both all the happiness (and great skin) ❤😊

I love your cleanser. Best one I’ve ever used. Also, bonus! I’m an avid gardener and despite putting solid soap under my nail and always gloves, my nails always get dirty,. They were so difficult to clean. I use a nail brush and soap or dishwasher soap to clean with meh results. Even after washing my hair and using my nails to clean it, my nails not completely clean. I decided to try your cleanser with my nail brush, and voilà! Clean and hydrated nails. THANK YOU!❤️

Everything I have used from Olay is amazing. I look forward to doing my routine which keeps me consistent. I follow a lot of skin care content and I have often wondered why nobody talks about it. I know its not trendy but it is a classic beauty brand that IMO is highly effective. The products feel so luxurious on and it always blows my mind. I have other skin care I use and love as well, most notably your Major Fade line!

That retinol from Good Molecules is phenomenal, especially for a beginner retinol. I started out with that one and I seen dramatic improvement with fine lines in just a matter of 2 weeks. That tube lasted me about 6 weeks but I probably used a little more than I should. I never got any kind of irritation with it either and I used it nightly. I still buy that one for my chest and hands.

Which products from them do you like the most? My son got me 3 serums from them for my bday - Vit C, Retinol, and Hyaluronic Acid (why does Dr. Idriss not like that one?). I've been using them for about 6 weeks and I like the way all of them feel. However, I have used so many products that all "all the hype" and highly recommended and aside from feeling nice, I have yet to find anything that really makes any difference for any of my skin issues: dry undereyes, some fine lines and a few wrinkles, dull dryish skin, microfillaments vs. blackheads (?), a few light dark spots, slightly reddish cheeks, and uneven skin tone! I feel like I just keep looking worse! 😢

Dr Idriss, please do both a ‘morning & nighttime’ routine video for ‘highly sensitive skin’ that reacts to most skincare products. I’m having an extremely hard time finding something that will work for my skin. I can’t even wear sunscreen, even though I want to. Recently, I tried the La Roche-Posay Mineral sunscreen, which seemed okay in the first few days, but then it clogged my pores really badly, which I suspect is due to my cleanser (Vanicream Facial Cleanser) not removing my sunscreen completely. Even though I double cleansed with this cleanser, and even triple & quadruple cleansed, it still didn’t remove all of the sunscreen. So, all of that leftover sunscreen accumulated on my skin over a period of a few days, and it ended up causing irritation and clogging my pores. At first, the La Roche-Posay Mineral sunscreen seemed kind of soothing, and it even somehow unclogged my pores on my nose and t-zone area (not sure if it did this through exfoliation, or if it just stopped my skin from producing oil). However, my skin felt kind dry & tight when I tried to cleanse off this sunscreen at the end of the day with my Vanicream facial cleanser (even if I just used the Vanicream cleanser only once, it still made my skin feel somewhat dry afterwards). I specifically chose the Vanicream cleanser because it doesn’t contain hyaluronic acid in it (since I’m very sensitive to hyaluronic acid, and it’s extremely drying to my skin), but this cleanser alone is just not effective at removing my sunscreen. I thought about using an oil cleanser in addition to the Vanicream cleanser, but I’m not sure which oil cleanser to use that won’t irritate my skin or leave it even drier. If my skin feels dry after cleansing, it’s a problem because I can’t do much to hydrate it, since I haven’t even been able to find a single moisturizer that my skin will accept. I’m really stuck on what to do, because I have been unable to find any skincare routine that my skin will accept. Even when I’ve used products that were advertised for sensitive skin, my skin might accept them for the first 3 days or so, but then it becomes irritated and starts reacting to them.

I would like to know your opinion on organic (natural) skincare products. There are more and more on the market and are a real alternative to putting synthetic ingredients on your skin which are manufactured by large company’s. Maybe you could do a Saturday morning video? Thank you 😊

I really like many of Nioda products but many come in dropper form. You can buy a pump attachment for $2.50 but I don’t understand why a company like Niod wouldn’t just include it. Charge more if they have to but I find it very annoying. I use the pumps for the ordinary products as well I try not to use droppers.

defintely a more unknown brand internationally, but wellknown and respected nationally I've been using is louis widmer from switzerland. Their creams are always recommended by the pharmacist and I've been using their skin appeal Sebo fluid for 3 years. I would never switch it out with any other product simply bc I love it so much. It says it's vegan and has no solid microplastics. I did some researched and actually this brand was created in my hometown. The place i grew up in. So far I've heard so many great things and they also make lotions and products for babies as well, so if you can find anything, I'd love to see you try it.
