Love your videos and I always learn something new everytime. Thank you for continuing to make the time to do these weekly! I look forward to them on Saturday. Does it matter how long you wait in between steps (besides letting exfoliant or active cleanser do its thing) to apply the next step? Also would love a video about setting skincare expectations. I know this won't be one answer because each skin is very different but I think a big problem is that women expect results in 4-6 weeks (like the commercial says) and that's never realistic. What are realistic expectation timeframes for fixing the most common problems? (acne, hyperpigmentation, etc) and this is assuming you are doing the right steps consistently over a course of time. Or is the bigger problem usually not time but that most patients overdue it on product? Would love your Saturday thoughts on this

For my sensitive skin and rosacea, I don't use any actives the day before, day of and the day after shaving. Thank u for the video. My 55yo tan, combo oily skin is quite "strong". My main issue is hyperpigmentation and melasma "mustache ". My long-time routine consists of basic wash, Timeless VitC, CoQ10 Serum, basic moisturizer with niacinamide, sunscreen spf 50. At night, tret 0.025% and a moisturizer. I also incorporate AHA serum periodically. Nothing has changed in my hyperpigmentation. I would like to know if layering single active products (for hyperpigmentation) is more effective rather than using a "cocktail " product? Ive used so many brands that have a mix of actives and i feel they might not be effective enough for my melasma (even if used over time). Your thoughts? Its gotten to the point where i think i will invest in a series of Clear and Brilliant procedures instead of throwing my $ away on "reputable" products that have not worked.

When you put your camera up to text, like the ingredients list on a skincare box, a little text icon (3 lines surrounded by 4 corners) should appear on the lower right of the camera screen. Press that, it will highlight the text it thinks you’re interested in, and then give you a menu to copy, look up, or other. I use look up, then it’s all listed in the google search, so I pare it down to what I don’t know.

Super shocked to see that I already do pretty much all of this! I'm sensitive and have my hands on some prescription strength retinol, so I only use it twice a week, put it on after the serum and moisturiser, and on those days use castor oil on lashes and brows first, to maximise eye area protection. I also do NOT use face oil after the retinol, because that locks in and intensifies the activity of any actives, a bit like "slugging lite". With my skin, and an aggressive active like 1% tretinoin, you don't want that. In the morning the only difference is that when I'm putting on my (vitamin c) serum, I use a microcurrent device with it (foreo bear) to help massage it in and wake up my face, and throw in some lymphatic massage: at least the terminus (under collar bones) and along the jawbone and sides of neck, even if I'm feeling lazy. It reduces puffiness massively. I've noticed that as I get into my late 30s I spend a lot less time on makeup and a lot more time on skincare 😂

I want to use it before the serum and cream, but will the ingredients penetrate through the saroxia this way? Or should I just do the saroxia last? Btw I have a solar lentigo that is slowly improving with my tretinoin. I’ve had bbl on it several times before, it goes away and comes back with that. I haven’t done laser since starting tretinoin. :)
