Painless, but just so I'm clear. The safest way to upgrade is (1) Make backup, including plugin configurations. (2) Uninstall plugins. (3) Proceed with update. (4) Reinstall plugins. (5) Restore backup configurations. Unfortunately i in my rush to update, didn't make a backup of the configurations, nor remove the installed plugin (in my case Snort) and after installing the upgrade, snort started causing problems. It was at this point i decided to uninstall Snort, restore from an older backup, and then reinstall Snort, which I had to reconfigure from scratch.... live and learn I guess.

Steps are first reboot (ensures no current problem), take backup, remove plugins, upgrade, restore backup (which will also reinstall your plugins) Snort causes an issue 90% of the time if not removed prior to updafe
