I remember fondly watching this British import with my dad back in the 1950s. He was the true fan in my family of this tv show. I have picked up his passion. Leslie Howard's son Ronald may not be the best Holmes of all time. But the other hand he is far from the worst. H. Marion Crawford as Watson is wonderful as is Archie Duncan as Inspector Lestrade. Duncan can also be seen in another 1950s British import as Little John in "The Adventures of Robin Hood" with Richard Greene as the hero. Enjoy this little atmospheric gem.
