I like how they nail Holmes' personality in this show, high intelligent but still a gentleman with a lot of kindness. Maybe it's not true but I feel like modern day media always portray Holmes as a reasoning computer with little empathy for others.

No comments allowed on the previous few vids, but I liked them, including the lady (w/cool gold armbands) who found her dad on the moon. This one was fun, w/Sherlock missing his time period a bit at the start, and his thoughts on Christmas. Quite the character w/the advanced AI bot. Close call w/the villains at the end. Good ep!

i know Sherlock would be upset with Christmas carolers being replaced with singing robots but I don't think that's anything to worry about. These Christmas carolers aren't usually hired. People go caroling because they want to not because they get paid so it's not like a company can replace them.

One of my favorite episodes except for the fact that I'll never understand why the guy with the brown hat (Mr. Baker) ran away when he was the victim. Guess story line was needed. The Sussex Vampire and the Mazarin Chip are other favorites.

The Characters explaination in the original story was that he was not sure whom the official who came across the brawl was shouting at and did not wish to get in trouble on christmas eve. As in this episode Lestrade was yelling hey you stop, a very unspecific command to be sure, he had no idea that she was yelling at the henchman and not him. For all he knew Lestrade had just come acrossed two guys brawling over a toy in the streets and would seek to stop and possibly arrest both of them.

I looked up word carbuncle and was surprised at its definition(s). Don't know how it could be applied where a doll is concerned. Seems to be lost on me. Great episode in spite of its issues such as why would LeStrade chase the Windy Gate sign rolling into the alley shooting at it (in the background behind Holmes where he was on ground ducking shots)? The series is fun/different but definitely isn't too far off on earth's condition if we were to make it to 22nd century.....a purple river?

Paul here most of the episodes and the titles are references to the original Sherlock Holmes novels. In the story the carbuncle is a precious stone that was stolen and fed to a goose for safekeeping. After the goose was killed for Christmas dinner the thief took the goose home but after crashing into another person with a Christmas goose the thief took the wrong one. After realizing their mistake the thief tried tracking down the goose. In the scuffle Sherlock was able to identify the owner with the hat left at the scene.

Why is Watson so clumsy? He's an advanced machine, but he keeps tripping over things and yelling "Get away!". I mean they say he has advanced tracking, aim, and overall everything but he can't defend himself in the least bit or run without falling over.

+Edward Gil (ObaREX) plus he seems to be as weak as a normal human....why why would someone design a robot like that? He looks like he could do alot better, but his abilities are over hyped, hes quite ineffective, limited functionality, prone to falling......Holy crap he must be an iphone

Unfortunately in copying Watson through the journals and diary he inherited the original Watson's clumsiness and let's be honest Watson despite his training and Watson is pretty darn clumsy. That being said he's not always like that it seems to mostly be in situations of extreme stress he's like that. But when he's calm and collected his robotic tendencies come out full forced.
