Based on the characters created by Arthur Conan Doyle: Dr. John Watson returns from Afghanistan, and decides to share lodgings in Baker Street with Sherlock Holmes, an acquaintance of one of Watson's own friends. Not long afterward, Holmes brings Watson with him when he solves a murder case that has confused Inspector Lestrade. Watson soon becomes Holmes's friend, assistant, and chronicler, as the private detective takes on one baffling case after another.

Dr. Watson says to Sherlock Holmes " you are a menace to society. They ought to cast a law against people like you!" Hilarious!!! N LeStrade n Sgt. Watkins using Holmes lab equipment n books to analyze a mud sample in the episode before this was a bloody CLASSIC!!! This series will ALWAYS be my favorite Sherlock Holmes!!!! The entire cast is sooo right on n they all blend together so well orchestrated!!! I can watch it over n over AGAIN just like my life partner George Walker of 23 yrs n I used to do all the time!!! We had no cable so he found the 39 episode series in the Dollar store n we fell in love with it!!! It is awesome to see now, as the DVDS got lost in the moving shuffle much to my distress. It brings back wonderful memories of us together when he was alive!!! Unfortunately he died almost 3 yrs ago in February!!! Thanks for rekindling those awesome memories for me in my terribly tough situation I am in right now!!! GOD provides us relief from our trials n tribulations in mysterious ways!!!

Dr. Watson telling the war story is totally classic!!! H. Marion Crawford does it to perfection!!! He is the BEST Dr. Watson, as Ronald Howard is the BEST Sherlock Holmes to me n Archie Duncan plays the bumbling Scotland Yard detective expertly!!! Wonderful series!! Thank you for posting!!!

That is click baiting calling these special episodes. We used to call it "lost leaders" back in the 1970's, but it is exactly the same thing!!! Misleading the public to get them to watch it, and some of us well educated people do NOT appreciate that.

If you think that Watson is dumb here, and I do not, check out Nigel Bruce as the doctor and Basil Rathbone as Holmes. I believe you might change your opinion.😂😂
