Donald Pickering is my favorite Actor for the role of Dr. Watson because he's not portrayed as a fool. (Like in the series with Howard and Crawford). Writers and producers feel the need to use Watson as a comic tool, but that's not how Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote him.

Low or No VOLUME kills this series. Only a few episodes are audible. But Pickering is Great as Watson. I think Higgins stole the look for Magnum p.i.
