Great story continues! Jeremy Brett's voice can handle anything: reprimand, criticism, honesty always. I want to have the confidence of Holmes entering a local country pub under all those wary, judging eyes. And the applause of village acceptance. A slight nod. Brilliant!

How fascinating Doyle's character has become over decades of time, there's thousands of Storys about detectives and heros, villains, but Holmes is the one character that resonates with so many of us, I think partly because he is complex, kind one minute and cruel the next, brutally honest yet empathetic on occasions, sounds like many of us, the human condition is a myriad of emotions, thoughts, desires. The one thing we'll never know exactly what makes us do one thing or the other. The psyche and soul?
