This wonderful song brought me comfort as my husband lingered in a coma. Crying, I sang it over and over for both of us. Our Lord led him home.

I met Sherman Andrus when I was about 19. So impacted by his testimony, and by that I don't mean something he said. It was just the Power of the Presence in him, that accompanied him wherever he went. Even now, at 62, I'm so grateful to God for that encounter. It changed my life.

My mother from NZ met him in a greyhound bus. He made a massive impact with her. She talks about him to this day. She inactivity is trying to find a church for him to sing in NZ.

From the first line I had to stop what I was doing and just glory. This wasn't emotions it was listening to someone who understands who God is and what true worship is.

I listen to this beautiful version with tears and I realize how much circus Angela Primm was able to do with the last version. Such a prayer so beautifully lived and felt by Sherman Andrus is exceptional. I don't know how some can afford to destroy such songs with all kinds of sounds that have no purpose in a prayer.

That old hymn is an anointed prayer speaking straight to Our Father...Sherman Andrus has such a fabulous voice & soul...a true blessing. when the selfishness of this world seeks to close you in, this is what you cry out and God will give you a refreshed anointing to carry on until He calls you home.

Precious Lord, take my hand Lead me on, let me stand I'm tired, I'm weak, I'm lone Through the storm, through the night Lead me on to the light Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home When my way grows drear precious Lord linger near When my light is almost gone Hear my cry, hear my call Hold my hand lest I fall Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home When the darkness appears and the night draws near And the day is past and gone At the river I stand Guide my feet, hold my hand Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home Precious Lord, take my hand Lead me on, let me stand I'm tired, I'm weak, I'm lone Through the storm, through the night Lead me on to the light Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home (Lead me home)

Sherman Andrus was a groundbreaker in contemporary Christian music in the 70s and 80s though, so, I think it's fair to say that both types of music have their place and can be equally worshipful and impactful.
