One habit you should work on is when a target falls off detection and you continue shooting at it, aim lower. I find that when lowering my shot to around the water line on an undetected ship, I'll hit the deck and superstructure.

The FS is a Coal ship in the Armory. The best ways to obtain coal are from the reward daily crates, daily trials, and login rewards. A coupon that is occasionally gifted gives a 25% discount on most Coal ships.

It should be, but the Hayate pushed enough to get spotted. Because of that, and not immediately disengaging, he was dead.

Yeah that was so stupid of the Hayate.. the game would have gone a lot differently if he just decided to to stay outside of the Sherman's detect range and spot him for his team..it baffles me really him dying in the first minutes just handed out their entire flank..

@@Γιώργος-λ4σ Thats what I thought. It really dumbdfounds me, when stealth focused dds throw away their greatest weapon. The day I understood how to use the concealment of a lightning, it felt empowering, almost unfair in its ability to control the enemy destroyers position. Yet its not uncommon for some players to even skip a full concealment build on their japanese boats. Truly baffling.

Wonderful illustration of one of the forms of game play I think is atrocious. If CVs and Subs are BS, which they are, frankly DDs that can kill BBs with effectively near immunity showering them with stupid amounts of small calibre shells at range while dodging the handful of shells coming back every 30 seconds or so aren't far short of BS either.

I recently got the Marceau and am struggling a bit with low skill captain (almost no french ships) - I keep getting outspotted early in game and then run away fast!! I think this one might be more fun... Still, I can only improve in the Marceau :P

I run no camo on my marcaeu/ kleber captain. You can never outspot shimas/ gearings so I don't even bother. I tend to stay 2nd line dd support. Map depending I also island hug into stupid close range positions for yolo runs.

If you are in a FS fighting a Druid alone you are doing something wrong. That said a Druid is a great counter to the FS if you can play her well.

This is the Gun Benham.... you can even kill subs with it 🙂. One thing that does limit it like all gunboat/smoke ships you need your team to be present really - otherwise you have the smoking yourself up problem or you get ambushed (although the hydro limits this), you do need to play it with a degree of caution. It's likely to be nerfed though....

@@burt591 I have both. I would say it depends upon your playstyle and if you have the special commanders Philippe Auboyneau or Bill Hallsy. I got the Marceau first, and while it's an amazing ship, I am not a cruiser player and struggled with the floaty shells for a long time. I also struggled until I got a commander with 15 points for the ship. By the time I got the Sherman, I had Hallsy to 18 points and P.A. to 21, so I can make a direct comparison between the ships now. If you love zipping around and dodging shots, the Marceau is the way to go. If you love the power of SAP for killing DDs and broadside cruisers, or if you excel at farming from within smoke, Sherman is amazing. Marceau makes it easier to be aggressive, or at least you have to think ahead about where you take your Sherman so you don't go in too deep, as it's a slow ship. I recommend both, but for me I'm glad I got the Marceau first because it takes less planning to play decently well, I think. Let me know which one you go with and what you think of the ship you get.

@@burt591 Glad my thoughts proved helpful. Sherman comes with only 2 smokes, so if you really want to farm all game you'll have to go with Superintendent. It doesn't have a heal and I'm not one to smoke unless I have to for myself or a teammate usually, so I don't have SI on my Hallsy build. I still can get some good games without sitting in smoke in it. I recommend using it from a flank or wailing away on targets from the edge of an island.

The build you showed is wrong you have 6.5 concealment and at the end of the battle in the captain skills you dont have concealment expert since when Sherman has 6.5km conceleament without Conceleament expert

The sherman and Marceau both have the same initial shell velocity, 808 m/s

My guess is that Sherman maintains that velocity better over range. I haven't looked at the numbers, however.

friendly reminder for those who just got sherman : This ship is just a z52 with more dpm with US hydro and less torp, please don't think " ah sherman has high dpm potential , so i should challenge marceau or kleber or Haru yeet, oh shit why i die??? where is my radar/normal cruisers senpais ???" plz don't do that wtf, u still cant outgun these dds mentioned before in 1v1 or securing caps. ( u can go challenge smart Draing player if u are skillful enough) i had seen many sherman players, thinking sherman is op as fuck that they always got cocky, either setting smoke in central cap to farm radar cruisers and then instantly blapped by radar senpais or thinking sherman as a op fucker at catching dd off-guard like kleber or marceau, seeing halland/smaland or other lower tier dd then act like a thug fighting them immediately even notice they got cruisers senpai behind them, and then got blapped again by both enemy dd and cruisers. Even u pick SE wont save from such immortal move. ur hull is quite huge as well bear in mind.

I think, that this full DPM build inst that good because the servers are too slow ti handel with this high reload and I mean these are just 0,2 seconds faster reload then the original reload time and that is not very much. I also would not recomment to skill adrenalin rush because of the reasons I mentioned earlier.

Superintendent is useless in Sherman. Smoke is torpedo magnet and even with hydro it is sonetimes hard to dodge torpedos, and sitting in smoke will make you and your team blind.
