These bite sized Sherman history videos are interesting. It's just the right amount of content in each segment for my busy schedule. Thanks for the info and great work.

These engines were tested on the M3 Lee series before the Sherman. The Continental R975 was the first engine to be fitted to the Sherman M4A1 followed by the GM 6046 Diesel in the M4A2. The R975 in the M4 was the third for production followed by the Chrysler A57 in the M4A4. The Ford GAA in the M4A3 was last to reach production and was not mass produced until late1943. The Chrysler A57 M4A4 was cancelled in August 1943, replaced by M4 Composite at Detroit Arsenal.

I got hooked on Shermans some months ago. Started with the Italeri Pacific theatre M4A2, then a tiny Airfix Firefly (M4A4), then the basic Tamiya M4. Finally got a Soviet lend-lease M4A2(76) in 1:56 scale from Rubicon Models. The last were actually something I could be happy with as for finishing. Great video as usual! If you've not tried the Rubicon models before I'd recommend at least one.

Right ? You would it would be a maintenance nightmare but I have read several places that it was one of the most mechanically reliable of the engines used. I do wonder how the fuel economy is though

I'm really enjoying this series, and I have learned a lot. In honor of the 80th anniversary of D-Day, I would like to replicate a Canadian Sherman used on Juno beach. What version did they use & and kit recommendations to accomplish this?

I didn't see a reply to a question one asked with your ammo mig paints video, but can these paints be used for brushing as well, otherwise what do you recommend to compliment these for when you need to brush vs the air brush ready paints? Just getting back into modeling and new to airbrushing. Thanks for your videos that have been watching so far. I know this is not related to this video so appreciate the help if you see this.
