Sherp Ark gets Stuck -Three Sherps on Late Season Ice

I wish I could have experiences like that. So cool! I spent all of my adult life caring for my disabled veteran father. He recently passed away. I’m sorta teetering on the verge of homelessness atm but I’m hoping some day that I’ll be able to afford a Sherp. They look like so much fun. It would also give me an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. Something that’s hard to do in the rural area I live in. Anyway, thank you very much for sharing this with us. 🙏

So we learned rubber tires suck on the ice. That’s why we have picks and chains. Didn’t stand a chance . But that’s an awesome day I’d give anything to be there shoveling

Lo mismo que en otros videos hay dificultad que lleva mas tiempo y TRABAJO "SOLO" cuando no hay una FORMA con EXPERIENCIA de MANEJO para sortear dificultades. Y es un vehículo que MARAVILLOSAMENTE puede ser una herramienta ESPECTACULAR para MUCHAS dificultades infranqueables en conjunto con el piloto. I like the Sherp Ark so much, so it was sad to see it got stuck. Almost inevitable in this situation, since the Ark is a long rigid structure. As soon as the gap between the two bodies fell over the ridge it was over. A sand-dune of that height would have been easy, but this snow-ice ridge was too steep and solid. Great adventure. Enjoying your enthusiasm. Your almost-tipping-over moment was heart-stopping. You played it cool. Greetings from the Netherlands. P.S. That first rope ... seriously, that was a good joke. :) :) Also: Tell your friend that meat-on-stomach-licking sessions with polar bears have a low rate of happy endings 🙂

The rich people are out on an ATV ride. I wonder if the Russia situation will make parts harder to get for the inevitable breakdowns. Glad you didn't flip your Sherp sideways. Too bad the "ark" got stuck I am sure some kleptocrat or corporation can buy that monster machine at an auction. Us poor people will just have to ride our old Attexes.

Locking the differentials would’ve helped. Lowering the air pressure in the tires could’ve helped too. Kind of what the whole point of the tire pressure adjustment feature is designed for… is it not? Driving an ark at work in muskeg of northern Canada. Nice machines as the other Sherps but they have many design flaws and poor engineering. They’re notorious for breaking down in the worst places requiring heli transport to fly you out and back in months later after acquiring rare and expensive parts

Great comments. I am not sure why the differentials were not locked? Clutches slipped? There is not too many Arcs out there. I don’t think they have been perfected. But it is an incredible machine. Sounds like u have experience with the arc. I would rely on your experience. Again, thanks for your comments.
