I’ve prayed to St. Francis, St. Roch and St. Blaise to watch over Sherpa and heal his aches and pains and to guide the veterinarian during the surgery. There is a candle burning right now and it will remain lit until I hear all is well. Jamie, people from all over the world love Sherpa and are sending healing prayers and thoughts your way. Sherpa is such a love bug. By the way, my pre-k kids that I'm getting ready to start kindergarten this fall love both of Sherpa's books. Sherpa in space was a HUGE hit with the kids. Used it as a small lesson about the moon. Love how you find such interesting things to do with Sherpa. He's a big hit in my little circle. ♥

my heart almost stopped when you mentioned his thyoid my beloved Bear died of cushions desiese when he was 11. my Bear was a chow/lab mix & was the best dog ever. he would go to the park with our son & his friend he would do the swings & slide with the boys. he would sniff every boy that my daughter brought home & there was a couple he wouldnt even let in the door. I could tell it was clean up time on friday & everyone of his toys would be in the basket. when we walked him he carried his leash, the police dept loved him. but, if someone tried to get in our home or threant us he didnt let them get up to anything. with his mix he looked like a black wolf dog so a small town we moved to we had to get a paper from the vet then go to the town meeting & to put it in the paper tht we could have him. I miss my Bear with all my heart i bawled when we had to say goodbeye.

Gawd Almighty.....that dog goes on more holidays than I do. You've got yourself a wonderful Dad, Sherpa. That glare Sherpa gives Jamie every time he mentions "vets" is priceless. I had a husky-shepherd who didn't glare at me like that, but every time she got weighed at the vets, she'd pee on the scale. We would walk her outside the building for about 20 minutes before her appointment, but she would always save a little for the scale....it got to the point where the techs would have the bucket and mop ready for her. She's been gone for almost 25 years, but I still miss her.

We lost our boy this past January he was born Oct 3 2011 just one year after Sherp 💛 I can’t believe how much Sherpa’s personality is like Pippins, Pip was a husky x but we are sure his Dad was a malamute , he was a rescue from the NWT , you have helped me so much with my healing process , though a day does not go by when the tears don’t flow , they are such a huge part of our world 💛 thank you for the light you both bring to so many hearts 🥰

I'm so sorry to hear that. He lived a long life for what I assume to be a fairly large dog!! I'm sure he lived an amazing life. Jamie and Sherpa really do help me feel better aswell when I feel upset. Also, I know it's sort of unrelated, but my puppy's original name when we got him was actually Pippin.

Sherpa at the lake reminded me of my sweet Lily. She was a spitz mix dog. Whenever I took her to the beach she would go into the water for awhile and then wander off away from the ocean. I would coax her to come back to run and play in the water with me. She also had a sty removed from her eye in the exact same spot as Sherpa’s. I hope all goes well on his surgery. I am sure it will. You seem to have a very good vet.

What I love about dogs, even when they get older, they still have that puppy attitude in them. I can see that in Sherpa in almost every video. I saw that in this video when he was playing with that stick, playing tug of war with it. I love these videos and of course Sherpa.
