It’s been 6 month since I have the whoop, help me learn that some foods actually impact my recovery but the biggest thing with it, I’m a fan of wearing mechanical watches , so there’s a no no for me with the Apple Watch, garmin , to all day wear , this was the solution

Curious what you find as the biggest value prop of Whoop after almost 5 years. Setting aside sponsorship or affiliate marketing. Also in context of all the other devices you’ve tested and still use on the daily. I stopped using Whoop 9 months into a 1 year sub the first time. Almost a year later came back to it and dropped it again. Personally the cancellations correlated with learning what effects life changes were having at the time. After that, the service felt incredibly redundant and expensive for what it is. And you also learn to calibrate your own body without needing to track these type of metrics 24/7. Not to say the learnings weren’t helpful, they definitely were. But paying in perpetuity is a big ask for most people. That said, the wrist-based alarm was my favorite feature, as was the morning journal. Both of which can be done in other ways.

Attention! 6:48 thats exactly the problem with the sport-flex band: it doesn't slide. Got 2 - the first one stucked at the sensor, the second one (from the support) stucked, too. Got my money back, but when you watch closely, the metall end piece is tighter. The support told me, thats supposed to be for quick movements during your train sessions. But when you wear this band not 24/7, dont buy this.

Does the Whoop steps counter count steps you do on a treadmill? Specifically I'm thinking of one at a standing desk. Sometimes I'd be typing too so not moving my arms, I don't know if that'd make a difference? Great channel and content btw :-)

I tracked my first walk today (I'm currently ill) with the Whoop to test it. Allegedly I had heart rates above 200. Do you know this phenomenon or do you have any idea why? I wear the band on my arm as you described. Thank you in advance and for the countless inspiring videos. Ralf

How long does it take to initially calibrate? I got mine yesterday and paired it and can see the battery percentage. It doesn’t show any of the health monitoring metrics and has been stating “No Data” or “Data not found”.

The calibration period for a WHOOP device is a four-day period where the device collects data to determine the user's baseline metrics: Days 1-4: The device calibrates to the user's body's unique biometric patterns. Day 5: The Strain Coach feature is unlocked. Day 7: The Sleep Coach feature is unlocked. After four days: The user receives their first Recovery score, which is a personalized measure of how ready they are to take on Strain.

the problem with those wearables like whoop, oura and co is that the marketing is missleading in my opinion. they measure 1 thing and 1 thing only ... heartrate and all other metrics are "assumptions" people nothing except heartrate is measured. for me apple watch, whoop and oura (i bought them all) are overpriced pieces of junk. they are well marketed HR monitors nothing more.
