Emmy might be the only person I have ever seen in any field of endeavor with the capacity to either lead, follow, or get out of the way and showcase others better than anyone else has ever done it. There will never be another. She towers over all the rest.

She is the ultimate queen of country music. She can harmonise with anyone. She is a cut above the rest. Her range and emotion is unmatchable. She is more than the best.

Juanita was written by Gram Parson and Chris Hillman (Flying Burrito Brothers) in the late 1960's. This cover was part of a tv tribute to Gram Parson. I personally love it! Great vocal harmonies by Sheryl and Emmylou.

My favorite version is the Italian punk band that toured with REM. Flor del Mar i think that is their name. They are gritty and you can feel their pain and it's the most honest version of this song even better than GP's in my opinion. Commemorativo: Tribute to Gram Parsons I love this album better than rest of the tributes.

Classic cover sung by a beautiful woman that was with Gram and the FBB when it was written. Emmylou's voice and beauty are timeless. Kudos to Sheryl Crow as well. I live near Joshua Tree National Park and always play this when I'm driving through this incredible place that Gram loved so much.

Both are peerless and absolutely unbelievable. Each time I hear them I get even more amazed at their harmony and talent. Words are not enough to describe their harmony and talent. Emmy’s harmony is just maddeningly beautiful. The different levels she hits perfectly, is amazing. Just the best.

Lyrics: No affection were the words That stuck on my mind When she walked out on me For the very last time Oh Mama, sweet Mama Can you tell me what to say? I don't know what I've done To be treated this way In a cold dirty room That's where I found myself With a bottle of wine And some pills off the shelf Oh Mama, sweet Mama Can you tell me what to say? I don't know what I've done And I'm feeling so ashamed Then an angel appeared She was just 17 In a dirty old town With a conscious so clean Oh Mama, sweet Mama Can you tell me what to say? She's brought back the life That I once threw away She's brought back the life That I once threw away
