Nobody came close to Levon, nobody, only God himself, what gifts he left us, God be good to you Levon Helm 😢

Without Levon we couldn't have had The Band, he was the very link to all that Americana they expressed and gave it that credibility.

I absolutely love Sheryl Crow, she's so talented💖 And Levon Helm, well he's the master of it all! The most beautiful iconic voice i've ever heard! And an incredible musician! Just love watching Levon, and Sheryl preforming together, they both seem to be having so much fun! You can just see that she absolutely loves, and adores him, and everytime she has the opportunity to sing with Levon, it shows that it must be the highlight of her life! I can see why! They are wonderful together too! Would have loved to have met him, I bet he was an absolute sweetheart!❤💞

Agreed. How many instruments does she play? And she had Sam Bush playing mandolin. If you wander round the country/bluegrass areas of KZbin, Sam Bush appears a lot. Levon Helm: brilliant. Thanks for this one.

The closest version to Original Carter Family style was done by Sheryl Crow on the Marty Stuart Show. Stuart reproduced Maybelle's guitar part pretty much note for note and played it in the same position.
