Damage numbers are extremely useful particularly with supports. In 5 v 5 supports have to contribute to damage just as much as anyone else. If they don't, if you get a healbot Mercy and Lifeweaver on your team, you are 3 damage dealers vs 5 damage dealers. Massive disadvantage. So if you're losing hard and your first instint is to blame the tank. Have a quick look and see what your supports combined damage is vs enemy supports combined damage. Most times you'll see your supports have half the damage of theirs. Hard support diff, not tank diff. How do you expect your tank to do anything if he's vsing a team whose combined damage (going mostly into himself) is far greater than your teams combined damage? (I'm a support main btw)

Because one tricks can still make it to Top 500. You can be a one trick and still have a lot to learn about your hero choice. Some people have no interest in being a jack of all trade and just want to play and/or master one hero to the best of their ability. I don't 1 trick, but there's nothing wrong with that. You will get those unwinnable games sure, so will your enemies. Balanced as all things should be.

@@user-dr2wu7if7t to be quite fair, i'd prefer lose a game where everyone tried as many solutions as we could rather than having a singular person on our team dragging everyone down because swapping simply isn't on the table. this is a team based game. i've had plenty of loss games because people can't just play 1 other hero. like you said, some people don't want to learn multiple heroes and that's completely fine, however, in a competitive setting where most normal people are just looking for likeminded competitiveness, not grinding to t500, in my eyes a one trick doesn't really seem like a viable play. Though, us humans are bound to have different opinions and that's perfectly fine!

I completely agree with the McCree/Cassidy/whatever from the first clip. With a Soldier it's easy to pump damage into a tank and crank up your damage stat (and charge enemy healer's ults without getting value apart from ult charge). Difference in elims was not high enough to warrant such a comment from the Soldier. People get way too hung up on the damage number without looking at other factors like K/D ratio.

It's honestly a team diff, the odds were stacked against them and it shows. But yeah, blaming it solely on the Moira when any underperformance of the Moira was aided only by the DPS's lack of ability to perform (note the times the Reaper literally threw away his Ult on one person when the fights were already won) is just wild.
