It's sad this game was a victim of crunch. I found out the other day the reason why there was only 3 areas in the game and the last level was cut in half was because the developers ran out of time. Still nevermind, this game was still a major part of my childhood and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks for doing this, it was interesting to see how the world looked off screen and how the developers handled the game. Now it's on to other games and hopefully eventually, The Simpsons Game.
@outsidercain3038

that's the industry. every games have crunch time to be out in time for christmas or schedules etc. they treat employees like shiet with slave hours and that's the reality for rabid player who wants everything NOW and big corps owners with money on the table. I hope my message reaches you Cary, I had a terrible childhood, constant fighting between my parents that went on for years. However, I remember receiving this game for one of my birthdays, for being 3 or 4 years old. I had so much fun exploring every little detail of your world, it was amazing, your game was/is so good it literally made me forget about all of my problems I had back then. I love you for that, thank you. P.S I was very scared of the bees (in this game) as a child, I would always get my dad to beat them up :)

What a Humble Guy. He is able to appreciate people being fans of his amazing work, and goes out to applaud people who mod the game. It takes a lot for a game creator to appreciate mod developers making mods on their creations, since many game developers are likely to see mods as an insult to their work since it may be seen as changing the original game in a way since it wasn't good enough. Good for him for being supportive of the community.

Super awesome to hear from someone behind the scenes. Many games have credits with lengths to rival big-budget movies and it's nice to see some recognition for everyone that makes these potentially lifechanging experiences happen. Hit and Run is definitely one of my most played games of all time. I have probably played through the game 5-10 times and used to spend hours and hours every day after school just exploring the world. I totally forgot about the mods for this game so I need to check it out and get back into it. I'd also love a remaster or even just a port to the Switch!

Probably still my favorite driving/racing game. And if Cary Brisebois or any other developers, artists, etc. of this game read this, thank you!

Wow I never knew other people were this interested in this stuff haha. When I was a kid I used to enable ghost mode on a lot of old PC games and I could spend hours looking at how the worlds were built and some of the shortcuts (like those flat backgrounds) that were taken to save memory etc. and finding big rooms with rows of characters that had just appeared in cutscenes

I think the reason people love this game so much(myself included) is because if this would’ve came out now about 70% of it would’ve been locked behind DLC.

They should of kept making games like this, probably the main reason games take up so much storage and lag loads now a days.
