Besides, why would Rockstar unnecessarily leave character models in an area off camera AND will never visit that particular area again? It'd be a cool find to see the aftermath of Trevor murdering them but it's just not very practical to do so for this one scene in the entire game.

8:06 Just a bit of info for you, back on Last Gen there was a texture glitch on that wall, it looked like Rockstar originally planed to have a door there but they removed it and instead of redoing the texture work for the wall they put a new separate texture where the cut out for the door was. There is actually a glitch to get inside of the UFO underwater, you just swim through a certain part of it, there's nothing inside though but there is a strange texture for the floor but I think that's just the hatch that would open up underneath. But good point on the lost hatch, I've always wanted to know what's inside, I know that there is most likely nothing but still, it would be nice to be sure.

A black box in newer games (the ones that use motion capture), are used for visual representation of roots for character animations. In many cases its much easier to use the same movement length and timing as recorded in the studio and not have to manually edit animation triggers, etc.

Rockstar confirmed a while back (a couple of years after release) that the UFOs and Zombie Guy were gonna lead to an Invasion DLC and Zombie DLC that were gonna change the map entirely, and a third one that they wouldn’t say anything about. Everything ended up being used for online because a bunch of staff were fired/left to make a new company. The main guy fired was the “father of gta” and many staff left with him, leaving the game to go to shit because the higher ups wanted money over better content. There’s a thread somewhere on Reddit with all the rockstar word on the alien/zombie dlc we should have got several years ago and how GTA single player died before they could remake what was lost. Hopefully RDR2 gets them instead

GTA V has good sandbox gameplay as it's quite a bit bigger than SA, but they cut out a lot of content to do it. GTA IV is a good HD sequel to GTA 3, but GTA V feels like an incomplete rush job sequel to SA. Carl's beginning is also emotionally more dramatic than Franklin's, he literally comes out of the blue from playing Michael so far in the game, then we're supposed to relate with him in the first 30 seconds... right before we're thrust in a "repo" mission learning the driving controls while chasing down Lemar. Absolutely not a good way to start a game, especially for any newbies to the series, like the mom that you're trying to get back into console gaming again. lol

GTA V lets itself go with not being serious, sitting there watching television parodies of reality tv shows and children's political propaganda programming, it's obvious GTA V was an in depth analysis of modern society, while SA was about the gang life, and how to rise up from the bottom. All of GTA V is fully accessible from the get go, all of GTA SA is not. This lets you absorb Los Santos first before moving on, R* didn't do this for V because there's nothing outside of Los Santos other than annoying wilderness that'll kill you in one bite. When I think of San Andreas as a state, I think of the other two cities aside from Los Santos that were fully excluded, and should've got a renewed lease on life. GTA V is the mistakes SA avoided in its development, that R* believes it can patch over at your expense with DLC content, just because 7th gen consoles support online gaming better than the previous.

Saints Row is a parody of GTA as a whole, so they try not to be that realistic in the least, SR4 is just plain frikin crazy. While GTA plays the alien easter eggs subtlety, SR4 went full out, including aliens, The Matrix, and Tron all in one fell swoop. GTA was too focused on making the characters walk and act 'right', sometimes propelling themselves off rooftops because you didn't release the thumbstick quickly enough. Any chances to go all out crazy in the game is limited by the cheats available, and how long they take effect. Saints Row gives free range of cheats and crazy abilities, something GTA should've taken advantage of and at least hosted the same cheats from SA a console generation earlier. Spawn a Hydra anywhere in SA? Absolutely. Spawn a Lazer in GTA V? Nope, you'll have to steal one, or buy one off their online service.

Yea, also happens if you're in a tank under an overpass and angle the camera a certain way, things disappear (cars) yet are still there (their lights still show).

theres also a building used in a cutscene that gets blown up on one of the top floors, and you can actually glitch through the roof to get to it; i wanna say its an fib/iaa building but i cant remember...
