Shi Zhiyong's hip flexibility is insanely good. His wide squats reminds me of Toshiki's.

The clean and jerks look extremely exhausting for him. He should aim for a Olympia qualifying total and then recover till Paris 2024 to get that 3rd Olympia title. Hopefully my man can come back to his full wocao power.....

He has big balance issues in the catch position, its kind of astonishing. The sqat jerk is is inconsistant vs Li Fabin amazing split jerk. Plus Shi seems to use his arms in the first and second pull wayyyy more than before.

look at Li dayin first and second pull, his arms are bend almost from the beginning, and he is the current best -89KG, so it's okay for shi i'm not worry

@@zwryy7622 i agree with you, but there is people saying that when you bend even a little your arms, you are loosing momentum and transfer of power from lower to upper body, li dayin is the perfect exemple to shut down those saying that, i don’t think he can be better even if he keep his arms straight from the beggining, it’s his technique and he mastered it

@@abdulrahimroslan1771 It's a cultural thing. Acting like the weight is heavy and walking away holding your back even if it's a 50% lift. Tian Tao does it a lot too.

It marginally prevents fatigue and reduces risk of injury-let's say there's a 0.001% chance of injury from putting an empty bar down softly. Doesn't make a difference if you do it like that once or twice, but over thousands and thousands of reps that adds up.
