Al - Ehram is very known medium and it must have this essay in its archive, which may be available on request. I will advise all those Sunny brothers who are abusing Shiites and making fun of their sublime religion, to try to get this essay and read it. Moreover, neither Egypt nor Egyptians are Shiite! @@miiiii1926 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته no doubt, after the demise of Prophet Mohammed (Š) all believers were called Muslim, as during his life time. But the rules of Islaam, the ideology and secrets of al Quraan and al Sunnah, and the depth of knowledge of Islam was not there. What the almost united Muslim Ummah had was al Qur'aan and parts of al Sunnah. It is a historical fact according to our Sunnite brothers that the first 3 Kalifs have intentionally destroyed the Ahadees of Prophet (Š). (Why they did that is not the subject here, you can read it in the books of the science of Ahadees). After the tragedy of Karbala the Abbasiites revolted against Banu Ummayya dynasty. This was a small period of time when neither Ummayyades nor Abbasiites cared about the depressed family of the Prophet (Š). At that time the 6th. Imaam of Shiites, Imaam Ja'fer as Saadiq, son of Mohammad al Baaqir, son of Hussain ash Shaheed, son of Ali Amir al Mömineen the deputy of Prophet (Š), got the oppertunity to explore, teach and spread the knowledge of Islamic Scieces to his desciples. Among his desciples were also 2 later Imaams of Ahl al Sunnah, Imaam Abu Hanifa and Imaam Shaafa'i. These two started later their own schools and spread their own religions(!). Due to this fact people were naturally confused and they started to differentiate between the original School of Imaam Ja'fer as Saadiq and the other new schools: Jaferiite School, Hanifiite School, Shafiite School etc; Later followed hundreds of Schools of Ahl al Sunnah with new names, (like Brailvi or Deobundi in our time!). There was only one Shiite School but many Sunniite Schools. And people were, naturally, confused and compelled to give and use the name of each group who followed a particular School. This, my brother, is the history of religions in Islaam. If there had been only one, original, prophetic School of Imaam Ja'fer as Saadiq, there had been no other religions. May Allah, The Originator, guide all of us and unite all of us, even with our differences and our complementarity, amen!

i don't get it brothers and sisters please don't fight over these things. we should be united as one Muslim brothers and sisters at the end of the day we don't know who will get heaven or hell everything is in the hands of Allah. there is no Sunni shia, Sufi, Ismaili etc. There is only way to be a Muslim and that is to Believe in Allah, the Quran, the Prophet and his sunnah. whoever follows this will be guided inshAllah

I see a lot of comments here about shia and Sunni but then some are confused to say we are just Muslims- By definition A Muslim is one who believes in oneness of Allah and Muhammad S.A.W.W as the last prophet - Muslim has to obey all the orders of Allah and Nabi pak S.A.W.W Allah ordered at Ghadeer after last haj of Prohet S.A.W.W to announce the Imamat of Maula Ali and called Imam Ali Maula of every one. Anyone disobeying Allah and Prophet and made any other Khalifa or Imam is by definition not part of Islam- be it shia or Sunni does not matter

Deaxon1 punished .. the word itself is very very big. according to all the names of god, none is any where close to punish, punishing or punishment...but rather the opposite. no where, once again, i mean no where in the holy book i've seen about shia or sunni. so my questions and comments are simply based on more clarity from you. Now..first thing i want you to search and research about the tree which is directly coming down from H. Adam. i will mention a few names for your ref. Adam, then Idris, then Nuh, then Ibrahim, then Ismail, Yaqub, yusuf, yunus, musa, harun, adnan, quickly moving to abdul mutalib, right after him abduallah, and right after him the prophet Mohammed...so i have facts about and from P.Mohammed. but the above is a adan i here, regardless or it belong to sunni or shia.. my question to you directly is, can give me tell me if all the above P.mohammed where even Muslims.. if yes, please support your answers with facts, if not, again i provide facts. if you fail to get facts for either one,get back to me.. and i shall share facts for your knowledge.. so nxt time when u post a comment with words like shia/sunni/kufr/punishment/ or any negative aggression about anyone or any particular group or religion. you must know all facts...

Deaxon1 How about you go and read about the event called "Eid al-Ghadeer" and educate yourself before you make such claims as worshiping anyone above God! We follow the lineage our Prophet Muhammad left for us. His daughter bibi Fatima and her beautiful family....that's who we follow! How about you read about a beautiful event in our history that you and many sunni's choose to ignore "Hadith of The Cloak" Hadees-e-Kisa. Making false accusations doesn't get you anywhere...but arguing with sense-full comments actually makes you visible within a crowd of population. Salams

you are right one religion islam, but shia is not islam. there is alot of things in shia is wrong. they have mutah is halal and in sunni is haram. Sunni athan is the correct. Shia athan they connect ali wa hussien to God. That is not good.

ofcourse hamdullah, but if you understand shia whta they have in their own religion is that if one shia kills 1 sunni person the one shia goes to heaven and another thing also that if woman or man their partner travels in shia he or she can have mootah. Mootah is if he or she can have pleasure with another person if their partner traveled to another country. This is haram in Sunni. To me Shia always wrong in Allah's right.

Shia are doing shirk. It is not Islam to hang bandeaus on head written "YA Hussein" and hanging pictures INSIDE MOSQUE of KHOMEINi and a man, who is called Hussein or Ali. Mhmd sav said only praise Allah, also not picture the prophet. Today shia is an ALI-HUSSEIN-CULT. This is sad, because we would be one people. Come to the real way- Quran/Allahs word and Prophet Mhmd sav.
