To refer to the architects of these magnificent structures as unprofessional is simply ignorance. They are the master professional builders more experienced than those that cannot build the like without the help of machines, steel and concrete!!!

Using mud sun dried bricks for construction was nothing new. Goes back 5000 BC to Egyptian times. They are not nearly as strong and durable as kiln bricks made from clay though. I would guess the lower floors are either kiln bricks or stone carved bricks to support the weight of the upper floors.
