Wow so well done! I loved these at the beach but hated there were limited color options and had such a high price.

What type of thread do you use to stitch the fabric?

Any ideas on reducing the noise and amount of snap in the tail end. I’m considering sewing another channel in the tail end of mine then running a piece of paracord through it Thought if the tail weighs a little more it will calm down a little.

may be... I would keep it light so it flows smoothly with even breeze around 3-4mph.. but if you try .. let m eknow how it goes..

how about some metal tarp grommets on the corners? Tie a short piece of para cord and weight the corners.

@aarondrossart6026 Жыл бұрын
@@guitarzarfun you may not even need the grommets. they could potentially whip you in the face. if you just took a small rubber band type material, you could ball up the corner of the material and pinch it with a slip knot and stake it (or weight it) in the sand.

Wondering if anyone has found an easier way to secure fabric ends to pole rather than tape?
@aarondrossart6026 Жыл бұрын
just copy the shibumi design. they use a press stud and some elastic webbing to wrap it around the pole. you could also sew elastic that wraps around the end of the pole (similar to how tents are held in place). Both would be pretty elegant solutions.

Thats improvement i have done this year.. sewed elastic with button hole and added button .. it is working perfect... tape worked fine for me too..

This is awesome. I’d been toying with idea for some time but never could source the appropriate tent material. Thanks for the help 👍🏼

I used the excess elastic cord that came with the poles and tied a constrictor knot. (Get it so tight it doesn’t move easily). Once I got the right location, I used the gorilla glue to glue to the pole. I use a simple knot to tie the cord to the shade strap.

I used velcro. Crunchy side on the pole. soft side for the black corner straps.
