This is the best beach umbrella! We have used ours for the last 2 summers and it’s always the only one not blowing over or flipping over 😅 Easy set up and take down. I wish there was a smaller “portable/travel” version.

We've had our umbrella for going on 5 years now. Many beach trips with strong wind blowing and our Beach Bum umbrella is the only one still up. We use an extra stand with another umbrella and holds it down great. Wish that umbrella was as sturdy as the Beach Bum umbrella! Made a believer out of my parents and sister...they ordered theirs for our next trip! Can't wait to try the table I ordered! Great product! Couldn't recommend more!

Its a nice beach umbrella and I would say the best I have seen. I would still feel nervous about strong winds coming thru plus i would need more shade for the family. Love the hanging hooks and table.That is the best buying point for me.

Just bought a Hammering Stake a few days ago because its been crazy windy around Ft Lauderdale but still great beach weather. Honestly this is best beach umbrella sand anchor on the market, no need for digging holes, twisting, strapping and all that nonsense to secure your umbrella.

Terrific idea. I might make 4 of these for a canopy(with 4 legs). All I need to do is clamp or fasten something onto each pole, perhaps a through-bolt and find/make 4 mini tarps

Actually, just came back from beach and right before, purchased a 10 x 10 pop up canopy. I used Ikea bags and filled them with sand at each corner. Worked perfectly.

We've had one several years and our umbrella is open when all others on the beach are closed! The "stand" itself is awesome and works every time, but the umbrella is worth every penny. Have taken it on at least 6 week-long beach trips with strong winds and has never failed to stay secured or failed. Highly recommended. Other youtube videos show it sustaining strong winds.

I like it but I will stick with my small power drill, auger bit and add water once the pole is in the hole. I drill the hole in a slight angle. A tip for everyone of course is to slightly tilt your umbrella against the wind to avoid draft seeping in and thus pulling up and out.

If I was a teenager, I would have a drill, auger bit, and a backpack with a few extra batteries. Then I'd walk on the beach and put umbrellas in the beach for donations. I think they would do better than cutting grass all summer. In Marco Island the average age of the beach goer is older and I think they would love this service. Great tip Petey.

They are now selling a sun visor accessory! It hangs down from umbrella and provides extra shade...the rotating pole allows you to turn as the sun moves. I'm ordering one for next year!

True, but thats the thing Matt.... the chances of this one taking flight is substantially low (in comparison) meanwhile the "regular" ones can simply be searched here on YT for the many horrors stories bc they are destined to be uprooted if not installed well and go straight through ppls legs as if steel. Once the wind is fast enough, either umbrella is a spear. Least this doesnt have pointy tip like many. What you are referring to is a severe freak accident which basically confuses me on why you'd even watch this video bc the only thing safer than this (or anchoring a regular umbrella) would be to not bring one at all. Unfortunately, while some humans dont need any sunscreen, some cases of humans require more than sunscreen... and no- no one will stay locked in their house all summer bc of fear. Thats not a way to live. This is literally an umbrella that encompasses all of the main safety precautions (hollow tube entry, hole deep in sand and an anchor) and youre still like.... what if? Thats life. If a car jumps a curb the next time youre walking down the street it could be very worse than a spear. Odds of that happening are way higher statistically. Something tells me you wont refuse to ever walk down a street again though. So, yes you are correct but it doesnt take away from this being on the safer side when it comes to adequate personal shade devices. Ppl can add extra anchors. Sh* they can even add a cinderblock instead of sand (for my petite ladies i would advise throwing this task to your husbands if you dont have a rolling beach bag lol). If the wind ever gets that bad to move cinderblocks, the owner would have noticed bc clearly a hurricane is on the way lol. Feel free to watch the many comparison tests on extremely 30mph+ windy days of this one remaining solid on a beach of regular umbrellas. It does come at a price- but technically youre paying for the safety odds and the brand knows that lol.

I still don't get it. The beachBUB "ultra" hold down system that can be used with ANY umbrella is sold separately for $40. The beachBUB complete system (ultra hold down system plus umbrella) is $175. So the included 7 1/2-foot non-tilt umbrella is worth $135??? I remain skeptical on that. Why not get the ultra hold down system for $40 and a sport-brella premier that is 9-foot and has tilt option for only $75 (total $115)???

I have another one at our lake house and we use it on the dock. I have mounted a traditional umbrella stand to the wooden dock, and then insert this umbrella. Holds up to the wind perfectly and goes nowhere.
