Owning all three of these, for me the biggest difference is the grip, in terms of shape and angle. On my 3 examples I have Trijicon RMRcc's on the dovetail plates. The Shield Plus has a much more rounded grip, thinner than the other two, and a different angle. Coming from the 1911 world, I can get the Shield Plus lined up faster than the other two. Of course there is the compromise on this, where the Hellcat is more comfortable for me to carry than the Shield, and the Sig is possibly better, but the Shield does feel better shooting. In the end, realizing that most cannot afford to get all three, any of them are more than good enough, and I'm still rotating all three for EDC since none has a clear advantage over the other.
@bradhuskers2 жыл бұрын
I own all three as well. the sig p 365 is as accurate as possible. But these three are the gold standard for concealed carry, for sure

I think the recoil impulse on the shield is less sharp than the others. Seems ever so slightly softer shooting to me. Even less sharp recoil than my Hellcat Pro which of course has a bigger, fuller grip. I carry the Hellcat Pro and I do not own a shield plus but my cousin does and every time I shoot it I can't help but notice that it just seems to shoot softer. I might need one lol

I like both guns a lot.. but I’m more accurate with my hellcat. I choose to conceal carry my hellcat most everyday. It just feels better for me.

I’ve got the Shield Plus, and it’s my EDC. I’m a woman who usually has my kids with me out in public, and I prefer concealed carry to avoid being a target. So, my one and only complaint with my Shield Plus, is that the grip is like razer sharp sandpaper. I have to wear an extra layer of clothing to keep it off my skin because it just plain hurts. Summer in Texas, extra layers, all kinds of NOPE. I can’t wait for Hogue to come out with a properly fitting grip cover. Other than that, no complaints. My only other gun is a tiny little Glock 42. Between the two of them at the range, the Shield is my preference. It doesn’t want to pop out of my hands like the little Glock, and the shells never smokestack. Only having the Glock to compare it with, obviously the Shield is heavy. It holds 13+1, 9mm compared to just 6+1, 380’s in the Glock. So that alone is a weight difference.

I have the shield and the shield plus. A couple things im not too crazy about. 1. The mags really need to be palmed in. You have to press pretty hard to get them to lock in. Today, I played around with the hcp and the mags slip in and lock like butter. Smoothest I have ever felt hands down. 2. It seems like everyone has one. Its a good thing that it is very popular, but I really dont like the fact so many people have them. Its just too common and generic. As far as shooting, all of these smaller 9mms are snappy as hell. Unless you're really looking for it, you're not going to see much difference. I recommended holding them and seeing which one feels best. Lastly, some of the sigs I looked at had exposed metal in the back of the slide. This means absolutely nothing other than I dislike the way it looks. Much love my dudes. Stay safe out there.

Imo owning the shield 1 peviously, and owning the hellcat and p365 now and renting the shield plus at a range i think i have to go with the hellcat. No knocks to any others, i have giant palms and average or even short fingers so my grip is weird. The hellcat fit my hand when the 365 didnt as well. The shield+ was fantastic in hand, but not as comfortable to conceal. Considering i have an lcp 2 that i throw in my pocket when it’s uncomfortable to carry i went with the hellcat, round count wasn’t a big factor but it was the deciding factor after everything else to have another round. My buddy who owns a 365 hates my hellcat though, i think if possible everyone should try one in hand
@moose94107 ай бұрын
I’ve owned all 3, in my humble opinion, the sig was just too narrow/slim grip to get ahold of for quick access, the hellcat was way snappy, of course I could master it with more training, however the grip is also too small for me. I stayed with the shield plus. Even though hellcat and p365 sights are very nice, in reality, the shield plus has an easier thicker grip for me. I can access it quickly and it’s extremely accurate, also the shield has a superior trigger. Doesn’t matter about the fancy night sight either, because if I need to use my gun in low/no light I’m running a pocket flashlight anyway.

I ended up getting the Hellcat over the 365 for a couple reasons even though I shot the 365 more accurately and it had the least felt recoil. During rapid fire I didn't lose the front sight post on the Hellcat like I did the 365. I have XL palms with Medium size fingers and like a couple other reviewers mentioned, the mags on the 365 get caught on the edge of your palm while the Hellcat's drop free with little to no issue. 15rd - 18rd capacity in an magazine that isn't goofy in length and size. Haven't had mine for a while, but compared to the 365, the 15rd SA magazines are objectively better designed in my opinion. Plus on a good day I can get 2 SA magazines for the price of one Sig magazine. The trigger on the Hellcat never has me guessing when it's going to break while on the 365 I never quite could tell when it'd break. It felt very mushy without a really defined break. Biggest con on the hellcat is the darn shallow serrations and recoil. Not a major difference, but enough to dissuade people. I figured my hand will get used to it with enough rounds.
